The whole thing is that if he isn't really going anywhere by around 2017-2018 I can sign him to my own F1RWRS team so that at least he is in F1RWRS eventually. It's not what I want to do but if he's stuck in the feeder catergories for ever then I will have to.

Mitie Kingfisher announce driver line-up:
Mr.Alexander today confirmed the long-running rumour over Ashley Watkinson, by signing the driver to a one-year deal. "We're delighted to capture Ashley finally. We first spoke to him several months ago and have finally reached an agreement. He will jump straight into the team, as we are resting Matthias for the last two races. We also have a few sponsorship opportunities for next year, so qualifying for one of the last two races will help in securing them".
Matthias Valsattis has struggled continually throughout the year, being beaten by David Neuberg week after week and failing to qualify whilst David has strarted two. "Matthias hasn't been on top of his game all year. We have supported him all the way through but we feel he needs a rest."

To clarify:
2015 season:
Team Name: Kingfisher Racing
Constructor Name: Kingfisher
Chassis number: KR-002
Driver 1: Ashley Watkinson
Driver 2: David Neuberg (pay-driver)
TD: Matthias Valsattis

If a team wishes to take Valsattis 'on-loan' for next season, with me retaining control so your '5-driver limit' isn't affected you can. He has had 60 credits spent on qualifying performance too.

So might Tropico Grand Prix, although it depends on our financial situation at the end of the year.

So, to clarify that deal AdrianSutil, are you now controlling Ashley Watkinson, or has Watka given his blessing to his continued presence in the series?

I may have accidentally set a dangerous precedent of hostile takeovers of idle drivers. Sorry :?

No personally I'm not fussed either way, I just wasn't sure if AdrianSutil was aware that if he signs Watkinson up then he's effectively controlling the driver himself, and would thus count towards his driver limit. I'd rather see members bring in new drivers rather than taking over old ones, the members for whom have long since departed, but for that to start working properly we need the feeder series to get a few years under their belts.

At this point, I would like to point out that for the final two rounds of this F1RWRS season, Pippa Mann is bringing in Martin McFry to partner Douglas Mann as a trial period for next season at Foxdale. This is on the assumption that the F3RWRS Superprix happened on the same weekend as the last race.

I haven't spoken to Watka, and to be honest, I'm not planning to either. I haven't seen him posting anywhere for wellover 2 months and even longer in this thread. I'll take Watkinson under my own control and now have 5 drivers in my control:

Ashley Watkinson
Matthias Valsattis
David Neuberg
Ashley lilly
Scott Davidson

Where's the problem? The F3RWRS Surfers Superprix is/was on 10th-12th October, then he goes straight out to Japan for the F1RWRS race the following weekend (jetlag would not be a problem with that) and the the Luxembourg race just over a month later. Pippa Mann had this planned all along for his trial run. Then he returns to Oz again with the Foxdale and West Cliff teams for the 24 Hour Bathurst race. There are no clashes nor licence restriction as far as I can see.

But, what muppet in their right mind would put a driver with ONE F3RWRS drive where he did absolutely sod all anyway in an F1RWRS car?

Me. That's who. ;) Don't forget that the Manns and Martin McFry are timetravellers, so at this point, Pippa would have been aware of Martin's performance in the Bathurst race, and therefore reckons that he could be moulded into something good in an F1RWRS car.

Oh, OK. :( I thought it had become established cannon, but never mind.

Let's just say that Martin McFry is a pay driver then, and Pippa just wants to gain a few more credits to invest into the team for the 2015 season. Will this do?

As a little aside note for Dave Simpson and co, Macklin will miss all of pre-season testing (I have a habit of letting real life write the plot and the Ranga's out of action thanks to having surgery on an infected toe)

Does anyone have a track map for Akrotiri Bay? I'm going to make a page for it on the wiki, but I have no idea what the track looks like.

Also, when is the review for Macau coming? (Yes, I'm impatient :P )

I "only" have the bitmap the track was designed after:

If anyone feels like making a more wiki-esque track map for this, I won't stop you. The pitlane is different than in this pic, i.e. it starts after the final hairpin. Obviously, the chicane is rounded as well.

OK, I assume that this was Douglas rather than Pippa with a damaged front wing? Either way, for them to finish 6th and 8th shows whoever had the damaged wing make a reasonable recovery drive.

Sammy Jones wrote:To say I'm pissed off with Mestolio is quite frankly an understatement. He just drove into me in no uncertain terms, ending what had been a very good race for me in the points. The only positive to come out of this race is that Gillet didn't score either, but with Sunshine now level with us on 44 points, both myself and Daniel know full well the task ahead of us to secure third place in the constructors' championship. It's so close that we really need to score as many points as we can. The car is reliable, it has good pace, and we can deliver the results. We'll move on from this weekend, only our second double DNF all year, and start again in China. Hopefully we'll have a better run of fortune there.

Yes. Tarantino is of Italian descent (but he is American) so he is in favor of an Italian driver at the team.
