F1 Game Show Cup

Post by Klon »

Alright, here's an interesting idea for you folks: we play Jeopardy ... WITH FORMULA ONE!

Now, the idea is simple enough - I provide a chatroom where we'd meet on a certain day and then we play a vintage round of Jeopardy! I would propose that we do this on the upcoming

Wednesday (1 August 2012), 7 p.m. CEST.

Is there any interest in this? Do you think the time works? Other questions?

How exactly does one play Wheel of Fortune in a chatroom?

P.S. I won't arrive home from work until 1930 CET :|

I have pondered a bit and I hope I have found a system to make this work. No guarantees for not being rejectful though.

Then I'd say we start three quarters of an hour later, is that cool with everyone? If so, starting time is now 19:45 CEST

F1 Game Show Cup

The smaller group decided who'd win the Glücksrad Großer Preis and here are the results:

Ferrarist: 1600
UgncreativeUsergname: 5450
kostas22: 7950

So, with the medal system in place, these are the championship standings after two of ??? rounds:
TommyKl: 1 - 0 - 0
kostas22: 1 - 0 - 0
Ferrarist: 0 - 1 - 1
UgncreativeUsergname: 0 - 1 - 0
Phoenix: 0 - 0 - 1

Next week we will leave the realm of Formula One and enter the realm of insanity ... wait, those two are the same thing, never mind ... when we will have fun at the Mario Retardy Grand Prix. Next Wednesday, 18:00 CEST would be my favourite time but I am open for any other date suggestions.

No matter what day I can only manage 1930 CEST at the earliest any weekday.

No, it is not. Over the weekend up to now I was in the hospital and had to have my gall bladder removed. Since it will be difficult to go ahead in recent weeks due to professional reasons, this game will be in pause until at least mid-September.

Dragon: So... which one of you signed for Ferrari and ended up driving a Life? Who's going to be slower than Délétraz at Adelaide? It's time to vote off... THE... WKSTLINK!

Voiceover: "Statistically, Jocke1 is the weakest link, having failed to bank any money and gone off on several tangents about Alex Wurz and Nick Heidfeld. Freeze-o-Kimi and Stramala might also be in trouble from stating an obvious but wrong answer and throwing a bottle at a Juventus supporter respectively, losing the team money. tommykl is the strongest link, answering every question correctly bar one because it wasn't about the 1950s."

Dragon: Who have you losers voted for, then? Come on, out with it.

tommykl: Jocke1.

Freeze-o-Kimi: tommykl.

DonTirri: tommykl.

Stramala: tommykl.

Jocke1: tommykl.

dr-baker: Freeze-o-Kimi.

Dragon: Interesting. Freeze-o-Kimi, why tommykl?

Freeze-o-Kimi: Er... well... he got a question wrong, that lost us some money...

Dragon: dr-baker, you voted for Freeze-o-Kimi. Why?

dr-baker: He got the easiest question wrong and all that money tommykl earned for us went down the swanee. Plus, he put "girls are great" in his signature which annoyed me.

Dragon: DonTirri, what about you? What has tommykl done to deserve your vote?

DonTirri: Perkele, I wanted to vote for everyone except me, but if you get a question about Kimi Räikkönen wrong, then I will vote you off.

Stramala: Dinnae talk pish, all of you! Ye all ken tommykl was voted off because he'll win all the money and the restae us have nae chance with him around!

Dragon: So be it. tommykl, you... AREtheweakestlinkgbye!

The Weakest Link Weekend saw one man rise above the top and that man is

Shadaza: 25 points

I have thought about a new point system to accomodate for games where there can be only one winner and so these are the new standings:

Tommkly: 27 points
Stramala: 26 points
UgncreativeUsergname: 19 points
Ferrarist: 10 points
Phoenix: 4 points
BlindCaveSalamander: 3 points

I was planning to continue next week on Saturday or Sunday evening with the round of Mario Retardy I promised a long time ago. Watch this space.
