Another F1 Reject interviewed!
Another F1 Reject interviewed!
Hi again F1Rejects.com readers!
I've again had the pleasure of interviewing another F1 Reject, but no less a legend than David Brabham. David was kind enough to give me a couple of hours on the phone, and I hope you enjoy the end result.
In our full interview , which you can read at this link - http://bit.ly/OHwrj0 - David talks all about his adventures with Brabham and Simtek, as well as that tragic weekend at Imola.
I hope you enjoy reading the interview as much as I did putting it together!
Cheers, Richard

awesome brabs is a great guy
Re: Another F1 Reject interviewed!
The sheer determination to carry on at Imola in 1994 just beggars belief. What a phenomenal guy, deserved a much better crack at F1 than he got.

Until I saw the Senna movie I didn't realise how violent Roland's crash was which makes David's bravery all the more remarkable. He seems like a lovely guy.

Even now you can clearly tell the pain him and the team went trough at Imola. Top bloke. Glad he's reached a great level of success in other racing series.

Marvellous. This is the first opportunity I've had to look here in over a week, so it's great to see another of these interviews waving itself in my face. Who's next...?

Well, now that you mention it... we do have three possible candidates lined up in the coming months!
First off, I'm going to be completing the Brabham trifecta with an interview with Life reject Gary Brabham, having already managed to interview David and Sir Jack in the past couple of months.
Two other F1 Rejects are also on the cards and I'm in the process of trying to lock in the interview opportunities - and what's more interesting is that both made contact with me on account of a photo spread I'd put together on each of them.
The said candidates are...
...Esteban Tuero... (for whom I believe it would be one of the few English-language interviews he's ever done)...
...and Tommy Byrne!
I will keep you posted on the progress, but please feel free to post any questions you'd like me to ask them in this thread - I must just be able to chuck them in the mix!

Tuero would be interesting. Make sure you ask him why he left Formula1
