From the F1RMGP'14 thread, because it actually belongs here...

J.O.U.R.N.A.L wrote:Trabant fire caused by oil leak in second engine: report
Following the fire that Cillit Bang Trabant suffered in yesterday's endurance race, an investigation has been launched. Current investigations reveal that an oil has leaked into the fuel. Additionally, it was reported that the second engine malfunction was allegedy caused because the second engine stopped to drive the rear wheel properly (the Trabant is front-wheel drive, meaning that the primary engine drove the front wheels) by it's final moment, causing instabillity. The investigation is continuing.

In a related case, a fire has also broke in Gillet Ecurie Nationale Belge minutes after the podium ceremony of the yesterday's endurance race. Again this is under investigation.

Gillet ENB garage fire caused by chip pan

The Belgians know how to celebrate a victory. Fine lambic beer was involved, as was a large amount of chips. Unfortunately, the team decided to fry so many chips at once that one of their chip pans (Belgian chips require two pans of oil at different temperatures, remember...) caught fire when a large batch of chips caused the oil to splatter onto the gas flame underneath. With the fire dealt with swiftly, no human casualties were reported, but 3 kg of chips were said to have been incinerated beyond human consumption. A funeral will be held for the lost chips in Verviers this morning, before the Charlie Cox Cup is paraded round the streets in an open-top Land Rover.

Reject Of The Race and Infinite Improbability Drive nominations welcomed

...because the Series Management can barely believe that nobody has thrown any names into the ring yet!

IIDOTR: Gillet ENB. Their car sucked, who knows how they managed to win...
ROTR: Melrose Racing Team. Team Principal was too busy crying his eyes out like a pathetic wuss to notice his cars were absolutely nowhere.

Other than the crying bit, you're pretty much spot on. Hell, you're probably being a bit too kind with that nomination

+1
Colin Kolles on F111, 2011 HRT challenger: The car doesn't look too bad; it looks like a modern F1 car.

IIDOTR:West Cliff.Dragging a DeLorean to pole? And keeping it competitive for most,if not all of the race?Definitely deserves the award.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

IIDOTR: Initially i would say the Cillit Bang! Trabant team, but as they are glorious communist engineering, such a good race was entirely predictable.
Those bloody capitalists from ENB however...
ROTR: MRT: If it weren't for reliability issues, almost got beaten by the Trabant, on genuine pace... Their B-car wasn't much better.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

IIDOTR: ENB. Where did they even come from!?
ROTR: MRT. Easily the biggest failure all race, it was MasterCard Lola levels of shambolic.

Tony Gillet wrote:Wow, just wow. We can't seem to win anything in F1RWRS even when the opportunity shows itself, and we win here in our first attempt. I believe that can be explained by the fact that Laurent and Aurélien were powered by fricadelles for the whole race, while the car ran on the leftover oil. This has no relation to the post-race fire in the garage, which was caused by my five-year old son who wanted to make one himself.

Thanks for starting this thread. Its really informative. I have bought one car in 2008 and i need to replace it. I asked to one of my friend and he said to deal with a good dealer.I think a lot of headaches with dealers now a days and one should be careful while taking their brand new cars or used cars .

You want to go for that smoking Trabant currently parked in who-knows where? Some say that engine is still burning...

Oi! I'll have you know that the two people I have sold cars to were very happy with what they bought. Not that my current machine of wonders is going anywhere soon.
