The Herald wrote:Northern Ireland to be run by new constructor next year
Ecurie Ecosse have confirmed that they will not renew their contract to run the Northern Ireland team in A1GP for 1951, meaning a new constructor must be found for next year.
"Aye, well we 'acided tae focus oor efforts oan wan car instead ae twa' cars, cus hopefully that gies us some mare consistent results like," said David Murray, team owner.
The decision comes after poor results for the Scottish team run by Ecurie Ecosse, scoring only 4 points so far and languishing in 29th place overall. The Northern Irish team however is several places above them on double figures.
"Aye, a' ken [that NI has been the more successful team this year], but wur a Scottish team so it makes mare sense tae keep tae oor roots. Am sorry fur Des but we cannae keep tryin' tae run beyond oor resources."
Desmond Titterington will remain in the NI car for the remainder of the season, and is odds on favourite to retain his seat once a new constructor is found for the NI team.

The Argentinian A1GP team, run by the Car club of Argentina, is looking to expand to two cars for 1951. Angelo Moratti wrote:SI! FANTASTICO! Internazionale sono campioni del mondo! Grazie a tutta la squadra. A great victory for Italy and Internazionale. To secure the win with a title is a great way to do it. Ascari has been incredible. But, I will not forget, Piero Taruffi, maybe he had a little bit of a slump, but his early season form is what set us up for this title, so thank you to him. Not even Milanisti sabotage was going to stop us. Grande Ascari, Grande Taruffi, Grande Italia!!

Spain plan to skip the final round. (If they are allowed to)
If not, will find a driver in the next hour.

Don't you already have three drivers to choose from though?

If Spainn skip, Argentinia will run two cars. Series obligations must be met. They are expecting 33 cars, they want 33 cars.

Two, as the main driver (Godia) is injured. And I thought it would be realistic to have a team miss a race.

Palacio brought it home in the points last time out so logically you should put him in the car. Besides, Italy is like 5 minutes away from Spain

Juan Jover would be a good choice, along with Godia he was one of Spain's first entries in Formula 1 at the 1951 Spanish Grand Prix and his career goes back at least as far as 1947.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote:Scuderia Ambrosiana takes control of Italy and Scotland A1GP franchises
Formula One squad Scuderia Ambrosiana have agreed a deal to take over the Italian and Scottish teams in the A1GP World Cup at the end of this year, merging the two squads under one roof. The two teams have had contrasting fortunes, with Alberto Ascari and Piero Taruffi leading the azzurri to championship glory, while Scottish drivers Alex McGlashan and Comish Hunter have struggled to score at all.
"It is great to move to a new series like this, it has proven to be very popular and well received," said Scuderia Ambrosiana founder Giovanni Lurani. "Angelo Moratti came to us and offered us this opportunity. He explained he wanted more expertise in running the team to make it better, and the rest was simple. At the same time, we heard David Murray, who is a friend of ours, was not doing so well with his Scotland team, so we have also arranged a deal with him as well. This is a very exciting project for us and we intend to win the title again next season!"
Angelo Moratti was similarly enthusiastic for the season ahead; "Well, for me, I was never going to let anyone else have any type of control of this team unless I knew they could be trusted. But Lurani swayed me - he is a true Interista, and I am happy to let him use his Formula One experience to improve this squad and make it more immune to sabotage from Milanisti."
Moratti has purchased half of the Scuderia Ambrosiana organisation himself, so will remain partially in control of the team. However David Murray has relinquished his control as team owner and manager, and will instead lead the team from the cockpit, replacing the erratic pairing of McGlashan and Hunter.
"Aye well, when 'a saw tha' state o tha' team, a didnae feel tae braw aboot it. A raced fur these lads in Formula Oan, so a ken they'll dae a gid job."
With a full season of Formula One on the cards for the impressive Ascari, the Italian squad will instead bring in two new faces alongside early season regular Piero Taruffi. Luigi Villoresi, who himself also has a take in the Scuderia Ambrosiana team, will be the lead driver, and Luigi Fagioli, who came third in the debut Formula One World Championship this year, will be his substitute at date clashes between the two series. Taruffi's role is not certain but appears to still be involved with the team.
