2001 rFactor F1 Customer Chassis Season

Post by Gerudo Dragon »

Basically, this is F1 2001 except that customer cars aren't banned. Instead of controlling an existing team you control a customer team, buying a 2000 chassis. All teams start 2001 with 5,000,000$.

Drivers can be real or fictional and you may enter up to 2, entering 1 for a whole season will cost 500,000$, entering 2 for a whole season will cost 1,000,000$. The only rule is that you can't have drivers already driving for existing teams so you can't get Michael Schumacher to move from Ferrari to your team for example, I may change this for 2002.

Only 36 cars may qualify for a race including the existing teams.

Im all in favour if big entry lists, but the way this is going there's going to be 60+ entries. IMHO the real teams should not race

That's my point, with only 36 qualifiers, 26 drivers would go home early. Without the original teams, it would be muchess. Also, i didn't realise there was a 2001 mod for rFactor. Are you using a conversion or the 2000 mod. Anothing thing, can I design my own livery?

TBH I kind of agree. Well here are my options:
1. Real teams don't race
2. I stop adding customer teams
3. I increase the number of qualifiers

I'm using a 2001 mod that I think is a conversion from GP4, here it is

And yes you can design your own livery this is what your Williams looks like at the moment

@darkapprentice77: Why don't we just do an IRL/ARCA-style series? After all, the very first IRL season just consisted of used CART-chassis and ARCA uses old NASCAR chassis.

I'd also like to have a McLaren template. After all, I need to get the beautiful Menard liverly done. BTW, is it possible to have two different liveries?

From the sounds of things, you'll have to wrok straight from the original livery, which is always a dissapointment

Thank you very much for posting the liveries. But don't have one of those wireframe liveries, like the ones pasta_maldonado uploaded prior to his RTCC? Because it would make creating a livery a bit more easier for me. ;)

Yeah, it's really down to the mod creators to relase templates, and most often than not they're all stuck up about and refuse to release them.

But as this is a GP4 convert, the templates for GP4 should apply here! :) [/brainwave]
