Thread should be renamed
2012 Gangnam Style Grand Prix Discussion Thread
EDIT special feature is the f1 version of the gangnam style music video.
Some ideas
- Whitmarsh waiting for Hamilton in a parking lot. Hamilton enters with a merc. Whitmarsh shows a briefcase of money. Hamilton opens his bigger Ross Brawn faced briefcase and throws some notes at Whitmarsh and then drives away.
- Max Mosley being the guy who pumps in the elevator
- Bernie dancing gangnam style at the grid

I still haven't a bloody clue what this Gangnam style malarky is all about. I guess it hasn't reached East Anglia yet.

He is so typically un-British it makes me vomit that Americans love him so much. He has no morals or ethics. He is arrogant to the point of being smarmy, and he has no respect for anyone aside from himself.

An act that made Jeremy Clarkson more of a legend than before.
Apparently Morgan tweeted he wants to die, probably sarcastically after a really bad Arsenal result, or Van Persie scoring. Don't know which one. Safe to say, I wouldn't have stopped him.
I like the way Snrub thinks!

I don't think that he did break his nose in that incident - the only injury that I can recall either party claiming to have occurred was a cut on Piers Morgan's face, which he claimed was from Clarkson's wedding ring.
Anyway, it does feel a bit odd to be talking about this race when we haven't had the preceding race in Japan yet - is there anything else relevant to this race that we can discuss?

OK. I'll lock this thread for now, and I'll unlock it the week before the Korean GP (I hope I will remember).
Re: The 2012 Korean GP Discussion Thread
Well, since it is now much closer to the event itself, it is now worth unlocking this thread - especially since there is the important news that Lotus will be making the major shift from their current exhausts to what has been termed the "coanda" style exhausts.
The team believe that their developments in the wind tunnel now indicate that the overall performance potential from that style of exhaust is greater than their current layout (although they have indicated that they may have to sacrifice a little bit of power in the process) - as such, there will be a fairly substantial change to the rear bodywork of the car to try to maximise its potential from the moment they hit the track in Korea. The other side effect of this change is that the team have now decided to drop implementation of their DDRS again - they have confirmed that they are postponing implementation of the DDRS until the Young Driver test in Abu Dhabi because of the difficulties they have had in calibrating the device at other tracks.

We have the first ROTR then: Lotus' DDRS and its development.
I sense Alonso and Massa could do well since they seem to enjoy this track somewhat, maybe it just suits Ferrari. Hopefully Sauber can continue and challenge McLaren and Lotus in Tier 2 after Ferrari and Red Bull.

What? Bashing Bottas again?
There are two things that might give Bottas a seat: He is not crash-prone and he is not a bitter disappointment of a driver by trundling along battling with Toro Rossos when his team-mate shows how fast the car is (right before crashing into something. Or getting a penalty. Whichever comes first).

Judging by practice speeds Bottas would be trundling along behind the Toro Rossos
