F1 Rejects Track Designing Competition

Here's mine, an exciting blast through the Alpujarras with winding corners, a couple of fast bends and a new straight which would probably take place on a bridge...or something.

I used the historic city of Segovia for my track. It makes use of the widest streets and avenues all around the city, plus a stretch of road near the river Eresma. I´m not very sure if the start/finish lane is at 1000m, if it isn´t then the start/finish line would be at Padre Claret av, although the pitlane would still be placed where it´s now, making use of the avenue and some space around for the paddock. The first section consists on a stretch of road next to the river, plenty of fast and medium speed corners, this is the most technical part of the track. Then drivers would go uphill in a very fast stretch of track up to the roman aqueduct, which is the biggest landmark in Segovia along with the cathedral, and one of the most important monuments in Spain. The last part runs through the modern city avenues, having here the clearest passing points, straights should be long enough to assure 3 clear passing points at the chicanes in roundabouts.

no it isnt but it would be if the start was between 6-7km it would be

Ok, now I'm seeing the height marks properly. The start line is just at the 7km. mark (1000m), which makes it as well to being in the same place than the pitlane.

If Rikky von Opel had actually been any good, and become a multiple world champion, we would of course have needed a Grand Prix of Liechtenstein! So here is the circuit, featuring a high mountain pass and a 700m long tunnel. The circuit runs anticlockwise, with the start-finish straight beginning at the dot.

Not 100% sure of the points system, but if it is like I believe it is, the standings are like this. No contest for the victory really, Aerond is the clear winner.

Ok, here's the new design challenge;

** I hate my neighbours track design competition **

-- Track will be no more than 9km. longer and no less than 4.5 km.
-- No new roads shall be built out of this track; however, you can add chicanes or sharpen/model corners as you like.
-- You must think about a temporary and appropiate start/finish straight and pitlane location, which should be at the same place. No existing buildings will be demolished to make room for the pit building.
-- Track can be placed anywhere in the world.
-- Track must be shared between, at least, 2 different countries; track shouldn't use the same road to get into and exit a country except if there's a highway.

Almost completely in Belgium, with a couple hundred metres in the Netherlands to comply with the regulations. A fast track, pretty much a shorter version of Reims-Gueux.

my track starts in monaco and has a 1km loop in france before snaking back through monaco the steep drop at the 5k mark is actually my favourite corner on shift unleashed fast downhill blind entry nuff said

Well look at captain hammers track on the border between northern Ireland and Ireland so you probablycould get away with it

Except that Northern Ireland and Ireland are part of different sovereign states. Unless you're just talking about the Irish border, in which case I would agree.
