Unleashing your inner Cynon - Your fantasy racing series

Post by Ferrarist »

I wanted to name this thread "Tribute to Cynon" first, but I didn't want to scare people by letting them think that Cynon has passed. :D But Cynon's alternate stock car universe has inspired me to open this thread, as I basically ran fantasy championships since I had Grand Prix 2. Thanks to xkoranate, I can now run any championship I want. Currently, I run an alternate ChampCar series, where I pick up in 2004 (Back when CART went bankrupt), and try to rescue this series. I'm currently in 2006, and this is my 2006 ChampCar grid:

Forsythe Championship Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Paul Tracy
- Mario Dominguez
- Patrick Carpentier
Newman-Haas Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Sebastien Bourdais
- Bruno Junqueira
CTE Racing-HVM (Lola B02/00)
- Ryan Hunter-Reay
- Nelson Philippe
Team Australia (Lola B02/00)
- Will Power
- Alex Tagliani
Rocketsports Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Timo Glock
- Nicky Pastorelli
RuSport (Lola B02/00)
- Justin Wilson
- A.J. Allmendinger
PKV Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Oriol Servia
- Katherine Legge
Mi-Jack Conquest Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Charles Zwolsman
- Andrew Ranger
Dale Coyne Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Jan Heylen
- Cristiano da Matta
Rahal-Letterman Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Buddy Rice
- Danica Patrick
Fernández Racing (Lola B02/00)
- Dan Clarke
- Scott Sharp
Jensen MotorSport (Lola B02/00)
- Jon Fogarty
- Tonis Kasemets

The field still runs the Lola B02/00, but next year (2007) will see some new, radical ChampCars on the grid. Like this:

This won't be a Panoz DeltaWing-only affair, as Lola and Swift are also building new ChampCars. For those who are still reading, here's the 2006 schedule:

2006 Champ Car World Series Schedule
1. Grand Prix of St.Petersburg (St.Petersburg, Florida)
2. Tecate Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix (Monterrey, Mexico)
3. AMEX 200 (Phoenix, Arizona)
4. Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach (Long Beach, California)
5. Rockingham 500K (Rockingham, UK)
6. Beck’s 500 (Lausitzring, Germany)
7. Grand Prix of Dijon (Dijon-Prenois, France)
8. Time Warner Cable 200 (West Allis, Wisconsin)
9. Champ Car Grand Prix of Cleveland (Cleveland, Ohio)
10. Champ Car Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio (Lexington, Ohio)
11. Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland (Portland, Oregon)
12. Bridgestone Grand Prix of Monterrey (Monterrey, California)
13. Champ Car Grand Prix of China (Shanghai Pudong Circuit)
14. West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix of Edmonton (Edmonton, Alberta)
15. Molson Champ Car Grand Prix of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario)
16. Grand Prix of Road America (Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin)
17. Molson Champ Car Grand Prix of Montreal (Montreal, Quebec)
18. Centrix Financial Grand Prix of Denver (Denver, Colorado)
19. Bridgestone 400 (Las Vegas, Nevada)
20. Lexmark Champ Car Grand Prix of Australia (Surfers Paradise, Australia)
21. Gran Premio Telmex-Gigante (Mexico City, Mexico)

After seven rounds, the ChampCar grid is back in North America. These are the top-5 points leaders:
1. Jon Fogarty – 74pts.
2. Will Power – 60pts.
3. A.J. Allmendinger – 55pts.
4. Danica Patrick – 49pts.
5. Oriol Servia – 48pts.

Surprisingly, the dominant team of the past two years, Newman-Haas Racing, is struggling to close the gap to the front. Perhaps Bourdais (Who won the 2004 championship) and Junqueira (The 2005 champion) are saturated? But 14 rounds are to go, and NHR will surely try to make another charge at the front.

Before I finish my post, I have to introduce this website to you: www.champcar-ws.com . But this guy is horrible at running ChampCar, although he has a fancy website at least.

If anyone can see,dig way down into the pages of the PMMF and take a look at my Alternate F1 Reality series, which begins in 2000 and......is stalled in the middle of the season.

Alternatively,I am running another series, completely for personal interest,on GP4,also simulating F1.Using random draw to decide the teams which can create haphazard lineups (Giancarlo Fisichella and Patrick Lemarie at McLaren in 2001 anyone?) .DC won 1999, Half Schumacher won 2000 under pressure from Jean Alesi, and Alesi is leading the points in 2001 as of Interlagos.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?
