Takagis F1 management game! Europe Qualifying Up

Post by takagi_for_the_win »

Right guys, clue is in the name. Its an F1 management game, but rather than me using fancy computer software, I'll be using my trusty blue biro and A4 pad :) Begins in the year 1996. Its first come, first served regarding the teams and lead driver, but reverse order for second driver i.e. the last team to sign up gets first choice for second driver. Engines are also first come, first served, and NO teams will be works teams; you will have to buy your engines, and when they blow, you'll have to buy a new engine as a replacement.

TEAMS:
Ferrari (budget £50 m)- NAM
Benetton (£50 m)- Benetton (Renault)
Williams (£45 m)- pasta_maldonado (Ferrari)
McLaren (£40 m)- BlindCaveSalamander (Mercedes)
Jordan (£35 m)- FMecha (Mugen)
Ligier (£30 m)- Klon (Hart)
Sauber (£25 m)- Vepe (Mercedes)
Arrows (£20 m)- Tristan117
Tyrrell (£15 m)- pi314etc (Yamaha)
Minardi (£15 m)- andrew (Yamaha)
Forti (£10 m)- BaconLettuceNinja (Mugen)

ENGINES:
Ferrari 046 (for Ferrari and 1 other team- cost £3m)
Ford Zetec-R (for 2 teams- cost £1.5m)
Cosworth EDM3 (for 3 teams- cost £1m)
Hart Type 830 (for 3 teams- cost £1m)
Mercedes-Benz FO110/3 (for 2 teams- cost £2.5m)
Mugen MF-301 (for 2 teams- cost £2m)
Peugeot A12 EV5 (for 2 teams- cost £2.5m)
Renault RS8 (for 2 teams- cost £3.5m)
Yamaha OX11A (for 3 teams- cost £1.5m)

May I take Forti? I'll take a punt on the Yamaha engines, if that's possible...

Actually, seeing as Katayama has bolstered our coffers we'll take Mugen-Hondas if that's possible.

So that leaves me with £11m so far. :)

Forti - Mugen Honda
22. Ukyo Katayama
23. tba

Yeah, seems that all of the teams were taken really quickly, this is likely among the fastest signups for any series ever!

Any chance of adding more teams to the list? Abandoned projects like Dome or DAMS, or maybe 1995 teams Simtek and Pacific?

Right, sign-up was remarkably quick. Since pi314... was the last person to sign up, he would have first choice for second driver, but he picked both in his initial post. So the order now is: NAM, Klon, tristan1117, Vepe, pasta_maldonado, FMecha, andrew, BlindCaveSalamander, Benetton and finally BaconLettuceNinja.

Also, for those who missed the sign-up, if your still interested, I can add teams for you :)

I'm taking Fisichella as my 2nd driver. An Italian driver in an Italian car sounds good and I don't see any other option that fits this criteria. Well, Lavaggi is still up for grabs...
