This is based off an alternate F1 series from some time ago. Basically, what happens is we have the real race results, except the real-life V8 Supercar champions are not included. It is worth noting that for example, Garth Tander was the 2007 V8 Supercar champion, but he would be eligible until 2007, when let's just say he retired. And no, this won't include the two driver races. That's because in that situation you may have a car with one champion in it, and a co-driver who isn't a champion, and that would mean that there would only be one driver in that car.
We'll start from 1999, which is when the first full season results are available.

Tander & Perkins already have a margin of what is effectively a race win over the rest of the field. They look like the lead competitors for the title, alongside Ingall, Bright & Murphy. Out of the single car teams Longhurst looks very strong.

Well, we've gone from Tander & Perkins having a race win (on a three race weekend) margin over the rest of the field, to Greg Murphy, who was in equal 6th, being in the lead of the championship, thanks to the large amount of points on offer for a single race on one race per weekend rounds. It is very close for 2nd, with Perkins, Tander, Bright and Ingall either on 27 points, or within 2 points of it. It's another big gap to 6th, where we find Steven Richards, followed by Mark Noske, in the Holden Young Lions car, with Longhurst the leading single car team driver.

Re: V8 Supercars No Real Champions Championship Series
As it turns out, full season race results do exist from before 1999, I just didn't find that out until now. Anyway, time for round 3, at Barbagallo.
RACE 1
1. Jason Bright
2. Neil Crompton
3. John Faulkner
4. Larry Perkins
5. Jason Bargwanna
6. Garth Tander
RACE 2
1. Jason Bright
2. Paul Radisich
3. Neil Crompton
4. Tony Longhurst
5. Steven Richards
6. Russell Ingall
RACE 3
1. Paul Radisich
2. Russell Ingall
3. Jason Bright
4. Garth Tander
5. Paul Romano
6. Cameron McLean
The most successful driver at Barbagallo was Jason Bright, who won the first two races, and came 3rd in the last. The other driver to win a race was Paul Radisich, who made his first appearance in the points. He also managed to score a 2nd place in the 2nd race. Neil Crompton also came into the points for the first time in the season, coming 2nd in Race 1 and 3rd in Race 2. It was a pretty good weekend for the privateers, as John Faulkner was third in race 1, and Paul Romano and Cameron McLean came 5th and 6th in race 3. The real bombshell was Greg Murphy, who failed to finish races 1 & 2 and finished out of the points in race 3, making it a disastrous weekend for him.
