This, there is no reason to praise when an Ultimatum has a better success rate and a lower failure rate!

That seems fair, and I meant to say that ultimatums could only be used for drivers that are clearly underperforming in comparison to their team-mate. I'll think of a time/points percentage or something like that later on...

So what can we do if neither of our drivers are setting the world on fire but not doing particularly badly? i.e. what options do we have if we have two Nick Heidfields

In all seriousness, you bring up some very good points. For the mid-range drivers, we could have 'encouragement' - which would work at 25% chance of improvement, and then 75% of no effect (as in all seriousness, encouragement never hurt anyone...)

So, to summarise.

4 spaces in your seasonal diary for media events.
Praise driver: 25% chance of improvement, 50% chance of no effect, 25% chance to reduce performance. (For drivers have clearly done very well/punched above their weight.)
Encourage driver: 25% chance of improvement, 75% of no effect. (For drivers that have been ok, but need a little push to extract more.)
Give ultimatum: 40% chance of large improvement, 20% no effect, 40% sharp reduction. (For drivers that have been hopelessly and undeniably useless and need a kick up the arse.)

BLN, with the new system I don't believe praising good driver is worthy - they can be encouraged instead with no risk of reducing points.

I agree. What if the praising was changed to, say, 35% chance of improvement, 50% chance of no change, and 15% chance of having a negative effect?

What I'll do is take all this into account and implement it all NEXT season.

I apologise for the to-ing and fro-ing; it's an interesting idea but it's a bit half-baked at the moment. I'll try and make it less complicated for when it comes in.

I forgot to answer this sooner. Dumfries would bring you £500k in total (As Nakajima already brought half that, I'd just add another £250k should he be replaced).

Although the boss of Ferrari has somewhat been pleased with the results so far, the boss has said that he wants more points in the future. "We have a good car, we just need to sort out the reliability, and we need the drivers to step up. Piquet's been good so far, but he needed to score points for us in the last race. Also two upgrades will do, one medium speed and one small reliability will do just fine.
