It is pretty ridiculous. Though just after KERS was announced my brother was talking to some Red Bull employee at an engineer's conference and he said that KERS was going to be a complete waste of time and money, so I wan't really expecting much. If only that guy ruled F1.

I think he may have meant in relation to Red Bull alone. For an independent team like themselves it would be an insane waste of money. However, for the manufacturers it makes some sense as its one of the few pieces of F1 technology that can be transferred over to the road cars. The only exception is Williams, however they have created a subsiduary business to sell their flywheel system comercially, so it only makes sense if you're going to use it outside of Formula One.

I think all cars should have KERS, but change the 6.6s rule to 6-8 uses per race, thus avoiding drivers negating the KERS advantage by using it simultaneously. And I would be expecting engine supplier to give customers its KERS units, so maybe Force India could do rather well under these regulations :D

A karting buddy of mine said I had a bit of Irvine in my driving: does this mean I will do better once my faster teamate is injured, or does this mean I will shortly be punched in the face by a super racer?

This just in, fondmetal, Captain Falcon has been stuck behind you trying to lap you for ten laps! I'd run if I were you!

I think Mercedes will run one car with a human driver and get R2-D2 to drive the other car.

What proportion of F1 rule changes have been educated?

Well, for instance I don't think the new points-scoring system is stupid, but, however, the Winner gets it all system is. Banning refuelling seems educated in the way strategy won't interfere as much in the course of the races, but the KERS was just bullshit. Half-and-half, I guess...

You could also go further back. Increasing mechanical grip and reducing aero grip to increase overtaking (Ok it didn't work but it got the cars closer to each other). The 2003 points system which, though unpopular around here, has made almost every title fight since then closer. The new qualifying rules didnt work at first but for next season I think we are onto a winner with the quali rules.

Just today TV was making fun of Real Madrid losing 4-0 against a team 2 categories down, because that same team won today to Real Madrid's filial team

Could just be a Catalan and not like football therefore despise the amount of cash theyre giving the undeservedly overpaid at a club that believes its the best team in the world.

Speaking of which, John Terry the Chelsea and England captain is paid £150,000 a week, which is quite clearly more than what Jenson Button earned a week in 2009, has Terry won a world championship?
