Remember that the series' organizers (NVRT Holdings) are Finnish, so they just might force a Finnish race in the calendar without your consent. Of these two, Motopark looks better. I've also come to the conclusion that the only "modern" version of Zolder available is in fact somewhat outdated. Oh well, I can live with that, especially if it allows me to avoid using F1 venues.

Also remembered that I have Virginia International Raceway, which is a nice, fast and undulating track IMO. I can provide you with an in-car video from the game if you want.

The wireframe is from the template supplied with the rFactor version of this mod (the only difference between that and the F1C version is that the size has been doubled from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048) and comes from whoever did the original skinning work. So if something's amiss it isn't my fault, I merely pasted that on top of my image that had all parts separated from each other (which I had of course resized to 2048x2048 as well). Besides, it's not unusual for our series to send the skins back and forth before everyone is happy with it, so always make sure you have the PSD still with you.

There will be three different engine configurations, all named after certain manufacturers, but they can be rabadged to whatever you want just like in RoLFS this season. As there's no support to different tyre brand textures, the tyres themselves will appear as blank and you can pick whatever tyre brand you want as your team's supplier by putting its logos on the car.

In short, there's no restrictions on what engine manufacturers and tyre brands you can use.

I'll put you guys out of your suspense and announce that Salvatore Miccoli will drive the second MRT at the Nippon 200.

Fusion's RoLFS team explodes into Nebula
Fusion Motorsports have officially announced that their RoLFS team is to become Nebula Grand Prix from 2016 onwards, coinciding with the potential renaming of the series. Nebula owner Jacques Couteau announced the news earlier today, saying "This is a great opportunity for us to show what we can do. Fusion were struggling to cope with the demands of two series with their relatively small set-up in Bath. And seeing as Jake [Legge, the Fusion owner] is a good friend of mine, I thought I'd give him a little hand seeing as we're based in Bristol and therefore very close. He'll still oversee the team, but I'm responsible for the day-to-day running. We've got lots of French backers, and a striking livery too with a talented driver in Quentin Reatherson. We look forward to 2016."

Nebula's official name stands as "Total Nebula Grand Prix", the "Grand Prix" suffix to be dropped when an engine supplier is found. This move does not affect the F3RWRS team.

T-MOBILE TERMINATES CONTRACT WITH SCUDERIA VITTORE

In a shock announcement, Scuderia Vittore have announced a parting of ways between them and the German telecoms provider. After a seemingly fruitful year for the SV-T-mobile partnership, which saw prominent markings on the cars, the announcement has left Scuderia Vittore team principal Jose Braggia scratching his head for possible alternatives.

"It's a dissapointment, for sure" he said "but there's nothing we can do now. In the short-term at least, we have to focus on trying to capture the title for Martyn [Rietacher]"

It is thought that the team is currently negotiating with a major international company.

SECOND SEAT "UNDECIDED" AT VITTORE

Scuderia Vittore, one of this years front running RoLFS squads, have been left looking for a driver following the departure of both race winners from the team. German Martyn Rietacher, current championship contender, will leave SV next season to drive for Foster's Good Call Racing, whilst Italian Andrea Bianchi has already left the team to focus on his IndyCar commitments. It is thought that Spaniard Marcos Marcia, FGCR F3 refugee who has already filled in for Bianchi on two separate occasions, is likely to be confirmed at the team, but the second seat remains a total mystery.

Current favourites to take he seat are Plus One Group-managed drivers, Alexis Tantovich and Angel Jose Castaneda, but it is unlikely that Plus One Group, owner of SV, will choose to fill it's seats with two drivers from it's own program.

In short, expect a new livery for Scuderia Vittore next year (and no, it's not the Foster's one), and we are open for offers from any drivers. Maybe even Benoit Voeckler.

Also, F1RDS drivers Alexis Tantovich and Angel Jose Castaneda are available for drives either this year, for the Aston 24hrs, or for next year.

Unlike most of my teams, GTI's plans for 2016 haven't been revealed so far. In fact, GTI has no money, so the team will be taken over by RonDen Racing Engineering.
Livery should be more or less the same as in F2RWRS. With the same sponsors, except for Octan, who don't want to be involved in this. Of course Lancia will not be a sponsor here either (but still will be represented in the form of Zastava). Festivalblog will replace Octan. Drivers will be Dorien Lamberigts and Kevin Bainomugisha (the previous years F3RWRS drivers) Justin Case remains back-up driver, but is available for every team, just in case they have driver injuries/bans.

Engine: JUDD // Tyres: PIRELLI
More powerful engine but heavier. As we've seen at the previous round, it's the engine to have at this race track. The tyres are the best in qualifying, but high wear rates during race.

The combinatin of Judd engine and Pirelli tyres makes him favourite to take pole. The worry though is, with such a long race, how badly will tyre wear affect his race performance? It was enough to win the shorter Feature Race at the previous round, but can it take the 200 mile length?


2. NATHAN MCKANE (WINTON-ILMOR)
Engine: ZYTEK // Tyres: PIRELLI
Less powerful engine but lighter. Previous round suggets it's not suited to the Kyoto Ring. The tyres are the best in qualifying, but high wear rates during race.

It'll be a struggle. His engine puts him on the back foot, and those Pirelli's won't be enough to get him in the Top 5 for qualifying. I would expect him to make the grid, but probably only just inside the Top 10. And given the tyres he has, it's hard to see how he'll make headway up the field during the race.


3. MARTYN REITACHER (SCUDERIA VITTORE)
Engine: ZYTEK // Tyres: GOODYEAR
Less powerful engine but lighter. Previous round suggets it's not suited to the Kyoto Ring. The tyres are balanced between qualifying and race durability.

He will have a lot of work to do in the race. His team's package is not suited to qualifying on this circuit whatsoever. Being down on power is the main issue, and though the Goodyear is a reasonably good qualifying tyre, it may struggle to go the distance. Will require a storming drive or a Badu slipup to take the title.


4. RENATO BULKU (ZIMSPORT ROSENFORTH)
Engine: JUDD // Tyres: BRIDGESTONE
More powerful engine but heavier. As we've seen at the previous round, it's the engine to have at this race track. The tyres are good in qualifying but not the outright best, and are pretty good in the race if they don't wear out.

Last season it was Olafur Ragnar Hannesson fighting for the title with ZimSport, but this team Bulku has stepped up to the plate. And he might have the best combo for this race. The Judd engine is definitely the one to have, and while the Bridgestones are slightly less grippy than the top dog Pirelli, they're a bit more durable than their Italian rivals - in such a long race, this could be crucial. He will need to hope that Badu's tyres fall of a cliff, or succumbs to driver error, otherwise it'll be tough for him to make up the 10 points required to take the championship. Possibly 11 points if Badu takes pole as he is tipped to do.


5. BRUCIE KIBBUTZ (AERORACING ENGINEERING)
Engine: ZYTEK // Tyres: GOODYEAR
Less powerful engine but lighter. Previous round suggets it's not suited to the Kyoto Ring. The tyres are balanced between qualifying and race durability.

Has the same problem as Martyn Reitacher, except starts the weekend with 4 less points than his German rival. Prospects do not look good at all for the Israeli driver.


6. MATTHIAS VALSATTIS (KINGFISHER HOLDEN)
Engine: JUDD // Tyres: PIRELLI
More powerful engine but heavier. As we've seen at the previous round, it's the engine to have at this race track. The tyres are the best in qualifying, but high wear rates during race.

Has the same technical package as championship leader Agyemang-Badu, but without his success and thus without his points total. Goes into this race needing to score 13 points to overtake Badu in the stadings assuming the Ghanian would fail to score at all. He has the right engine, but the tyres may not last, and the points defecit is so big to the other frontrunners that it will possibly take an act of God for him to achieve the necessary permutation of results for him to leapfrog the five drivers ahead of him in the championship in one swoop.
