I still lurk on the forum almost every day, I just see no reason to contribute when I don't need to. So please don't remove my team.

Fair play, that's that issue resolved then.

I'd use the waiting time to read up on the RWRS universe, it'd make contributing to the Perry McCarthy forum so much easier

And a question to Stramala: will the #1 IBR be driven by Guglielminpietro or Spencer? Or both?

I do not know. I tried posting in this thread, in the RWRS Silly Season thread, and via PM, and still I have no confirmation. I guess if I don't get any before the start of the season it will have to be Guglielminpietro. But for the moment the priority is to have Spencer in the car all year.

To be honest, the whole concept needs a redesign

Yeah, I said the exact same thing on the IRC channel when I started designing it. You should negotiate with Jefferson Rodrigues about possibly dropping some of the sponsors.
And if you want a completely new design, someone else is going to have to do it.

Does anyone know where I can find the file for the car itself so I can preview it in ZModeler?

Well, I could send you all of the MTS files of the car - 14 in total - as I do not know which of them are required for the car to display correctly in ZModeler.

To be honest I don't even know which files I need, I've tried opening the original F1C car files in ZModeler but it's not recognising any of them. I remember ZModeler 1 being so much easier...
But yeah, that would be great if possible Nuppiz, I'll give them a try.

Stramala, I moved Guglielminpietro as your team's test driver, seeing as you hadn't yet nominated one. Is that OK?

Thanks Nuppiz, I can't get them to appear in ZModeler though.
I'll just give a basic livery a go and make do with that. Far quicker that way anyway!

Re: 2016 IFRC season: confirm drivers, tyres, liveries
If you have F1C, you can download the mod I'm using from here: ftp://87.229.14.12/hsw/f1challenge/Mod/ (the specific filename is FormulaNippon2008.7z). Testing liveries is very easy: each built-in livery is named after the driver's surname, for example Ide.bmp. So when you want to test your livery in the Formula Nippon mod, save the file as Ide.bmp, move it to SeasonData/Vehicles/FNIPPON, start the game and pick Yuji Ide's car. Your livery should now appear on the car: if you see any problems, you don't have to restart the game. Instead, make the changes you want in the image editor of your choice, save the bitmap, change the player profile to something else and then back to the profile with the car you're testing selected, and the livery is reloaded.
The rFactor version, which uses the same models and thus the same skin template, can be found here: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cf ... 8FN2008%29 . But my knowledge of editing that is very low, so it's up to you to find out how to make custom liveries work!

Once you have finished a first draft of your skin, save it as a .dds and place it in the same directory as the .veh file of your choice. Sticking with Yuji Ide as an example, save your skin to the Autobacs Racing folder (rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\FN2008\All_Teams\AUTOBACS RACING TEAM AGURI). Then, open FN2008_55.veh (set to open with notepad if you haven't already), then change the line that says DefaultLivery="FN2008_55.dds" to DefaultLivery="Name of your skin.dds". Simply boot up rFactor, select Yuji Ide's car from the menu, and your livery should appear on the car

Giving this a bump by asking some kind soul to help me with this request: viewtopic.php?p=227023#p227023
I could probably do it myself, but I very much doubt that I could do the livery any justice. That and I'm a bit busy with other things.

@ Cynon: Is there any chance you could add Supercheap Auto logos to the sidepods of the ZimSport? It would be appreciated
Also, ZimSport have (finally) gotten around to confirming their second driver. 20 year old Dutch driver Emma Kickert will drive alongside Renaldi. Yes, she is Pieter's daughter, and only time will tell if she's actually any good or whether Pieter asked John very nicely to put her in his car

I'll see what I can do about those logos. There's not a huge amount of space left, and they probably won't be very legible considering that it's a yellow car anyway.
I'll increase their presence at the very least.

Bits and pieces still missing:
Tyres: Red Bull World Race Team are still to confirm their tyre supplier.
Liveries: Jones Racing, Ural Racing, Tarantino Autosport, and Kamaha Junior Race Team have not yet announced their livery plans at all. As for De Friis, I'm not sure if the version sent to me is a draft or the final livery - in the latter case I'll just add the numbers to the car and use it. Takagi Racing Enterprises has a livery for both cars, but FMecha has implied that a redesign would be appreciated.
Also, here's the #10 ZimSport by Cynon, including the helmet for Emma Kickert:

I imagine the reason that 63.64% of those surveyed said they are most looking forward to the start of the IFRC season over any of the other RWRS series has something to do with this enigmatic French family's presence on the grid

Seems I have to do the thing I didn't want to do, but hey, I have been blessed with ideas. =P
Winton's driver line-up, so, yeah! I plan on using Yaname as the main driver this season, with Hannfield as reserve and test driver.
Anyway, RE: Winton livery, the only thing I need to add to the plans is Yaname Electronics (preferrably in Japanese) must appear somewhere on the car. I'm just hopeless with making simple things look good ;_;

We at Winton racing are proud to show our lineup for the new 2016 IFRC (formerly RoLFS) season. We have two promising new drivers, 22 year Joseph Hannfield (US), born in San Francisco's bay area and moved to London as a small child and 25 year old Natsuki Yaname (JP), bringing funding from her family's business and considerable talent in racing and many other hobbies. Both drivers have minimal experience unlike last year's driver, Nathan McKane, but we are confident both will do well.
