Bristol this weekend could get interesting, as the Gen 6 car seems to only be able to pass by shortcutting the track, and you can't do that at Bristol. If guys start just plowing each other out of the way, it could get ugly.

Go on the apron at Bristol and it's going into the wall... This is the place for Jimmy Spencer type bump and run tactics. How much excitement can happen?

It wasn't as ugly as we originally feared as fresh tires allowed some such as the Busch Brothers to pass down low and avoid contact. Old tires resulted in some chain reactions where you have one car wrecked enough to bring out a caution and about ten more with light damage from said chain reaction.

XXXtreme Motorsports is quickly becoming one of my favorite teams based on their amusing back story, questionable ownership and sponsorship, severe lack of PR aside from Twitter, and the fact that their cars are the best-looking on the grid.

It's got Andrea Moda written all over it just funded with sunglasses instead of shoes.

The livery reminds me of the launch livery of the Caterham SP300R, good stuff.

For which series was the Caterham built? It looks like a Le Mans Prototype, but I never heard of it before.

I don't think they're S&Ping this year, but they haven't gotten the chance to prove me wrong as when they haven't DNQ'd they've lasted less than 20 laps due to crashing out.

at least we get a good look at it in the back, but I have mad respect for this team, awesome livery, doesn't start and park, and seeing as how the team owner is a nightclub owner, he has to at least have some money.

another team I have respect for is SS Motorsports, attempted and failed to qualify for the second Richmond race. what's so special about it? last time I checked their Team "Shop" was a actual garage and their parts were from other cars.

They haven't attempted another race (they were supposed to attempt the Martinsville chase race, but funds fell through.) and they're claiming to attempt the Nationwide Richmond race. So I guess I'm going to wait and see if they decide to make it.

also, Keselowski in points lead, all of my yes.

It's amazing the beating Denny Hamlin has taken online for spinning Lagano. I don't get "mainstream" NASCAR fans First they want wrecking, but when someone does they turn on him. WTF?

I'm a huge Logano fan, and I don't really understand it. Hamlin slid up the hill and got into him, it happens. Mind you, I was incredibly frustrated at the time, but I had cooled off once he started dicing his way through the field. What I couldn't figure out is why he tanked so bad on the restart...

It's not so fast moment here. Piquet Jr. is still in NASCAR while Pastrana appears to have no interest in driving the open wheelers as of right now.

Pastrana already runs the FIA Rallycross series (along with Ken Block and Tanner Foust, among others) in addition to his NASCAR attempts. He has stated he wants to eventually run the Indy 500, and was supposed to be in the Vegas Indy race where Weldon passed away before breaking his ankle. ESPN is running a Nationwide ad basically saying NASCAR is the only reason people have heard of Travis. Talk about infuriating! But of course it is ESPN afterall.....

Incorrect. The 44's parked in every race they've made this year and would no doubt have done the same at Phoenix too had the XXXTREEEEEEME tire failure not occured((IIRC that's what happened))

Seriously, the kick to the balls of Scott from Piquet Jr. is eerily similar to the kick that his father tried to pull on Salazar.Just view the videos back to back like I did. Piquet Jr. has his dad's fighting genes.

Sorry for the spelling error.

I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I wanted to watch the event. Quite unhappy that Yeley got taken out of the race like that towards the end.

I find Kurt Busch to be a bit of an a**, but I fell bad for him and that crash. Even more for Newman. Very scary stuff.

Do not worry about it go_Rubens. It happens.

We've still got two more races to go that are Superspeedways so Yeley can recover and get one there hopefully.

Kurt is indeed an a**. You should hear what he's like on the radio. Treats his crew like crap.

Indeed. NASCAR seems to be filled with a bunch of idiots. Nelson pulling far too excessive self defense moves at Richmond, the Logano incidents, Stewart the hothead vs. Busch the hothead, etc. Need I say more?

What's with the fighting? Unsportsmanlike and inappropriate. The fans want to see it? I would rather die than see a bunch of a**holes fight.

ROTR has to be shared by Stenhouse/Yeley for causing that last crash (as much as I hate to say Yeley's name for the award).

That wreck was so blatantly Stenhouse's fault. It was a move that would never, ever, ever, have worked and he's an idiot for trying it.

How? I mean, Regan Smith won the race with one of the bravest moves I've seen. Regan. Smith. Won. That's a hell of a lot better than Logano or Kahne winning. Which were the alternatives.
