McLaren will have another test at Brands Hatch, with Pryce, Hunt, and Ongais. We will be testing a 400k ground effect upgrade.

Damn, for what I read in the comments, Clay was running in the points again when the gearbox expired! With Bruno also with transmission problems, a 150K upgrade on reliability is needed. At least the car can fight with the big guns.
BTW, where was Bruno when he retired?

Ligier will have 300k into Reliability, 300k into Ground Effects, 200k into handling and 200k into top speed. This will be our last upgrade package for the first half of the year.

Re: 1978 Virtual F1 - Brazil race up!
We will upgrade like that:
300 k on top speed
300 k on acceleration
450 k on ground effect
150 k on reliability
Up to now we seem to have a good and reliable car. Not the best, though, so we have to improve on all 4 areas.

Re: 1978 Virtual F1 - Brazil race up!
As for the race - a quiet race for Arrows and we did what was planned - both cars into the points. Well done for Emerson and Jacques! We are more than happy with that result and we hope our form continues!
I believe we have 1 more race and a upgrade limit of 1.2 mln, that is why I'm using it as mentioned above.
PS it gave me an error message so i separated my post in two. Sorry for spamming.

Speaking of contracts, can someone explain to me just what the situation at Boro is? It looks like an absolute mess on the wiki page and I want to clean it up soon.
In other news, if Pryce loses the title from here, it'll be one of the biggest chokes in history

Boro have sold their cockpit on a race per race basis to a lot of different pay drivers. The 29 Boro hasn't been used yet, the #28 has been driven by Ricardo Zunino for the South American rounds, and by Piercarlo Ghinzani in Kyalami, who will also drive the Boro in Long Beach and Monaco.

No, on page 3 (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5550&start=80#p214892) there's a list of which drivers have come up with the required funding to buy a Boro drive, but Samster has only decided for the first five races who exactly is driving the car.

Indeed. I don't think there's ever been a driver in such a dominant position so early in the season, in any series - real or fictional.

No, you've already spent 2.3 million this quarter of the season, so you have to wait until after Long Beach if you want to buy a larger update.

Due to the fact we are quite hard up financially, and I don't particularly wish to go into debt, Renault would like to ask about the possibility of replacing a driver with someone who brings money for Long Beach.

Kojima is also interested of putting in a few pay-drivers now and then. (rotating with the current drivers, who will still receive their contractually agreed salary, but will do less races) What would Hiroshi Fushida, Masami Kuwashima, Noritake Takahare, Guy Edwards, Teddy Pilette, Patrick Nève, Conny Andersson or Gianfranco Brancatelli be willing to pay for a seat? (all of them have been actual Japanese, Stanley BRM or Kauhsen drivers in real life)

So Hasemi will keep his race contract for races without pay drivers?
Brancatelli and Takahashi have already used up their fundings for racing for Boro.
Fushida: Max 50k: 40k
Masami Kuwashima: Max 25k: 15k
Guy Edwards: Max. 50k: 20k
Noritake Takahara: Max 75k: 50k
Teddy Pilette: Max. 50k: 45k
Patrick Neve: Max. 50k: 25k
Conny Anderson: Max. 25k: 5k
It's up to you to decide now how many races they'll get.

Indeed.
Hasemi, Hoshino and Henton will be payed as contractually agreed, but might now and then be replaced by pay-drivers, while still receiving their salary. It is most likely that i's going to be Hasemi that has to make place for the pay-drivers, but he will not be sacked. Kojima is not a team that treats its drivers like garbage. It all will depend on how much races i can get from mentioned pay-drivers. I hope this doesnt sound too complicated.
Result is that these the 3H's are available for other teams to drive for free at races where they get replaced, as their salary is already paid. (but why would for example Renault go for Hasemi if they could have Ongais? Well, you never know)
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

So at Renault, we'd like to see if Lamberto Leoni will join us for the next two races. We'd like to see if he can come up with £25,000 per race.
He would replace Jabouille in the next race, and Arnoux in the race after.
