1984 Dallas Grand Prix -- Jonathan Palmer repeatedly demonstrates to the rest of the grid that he was Enrique Bernoldi's mentor. Epic blocking skills. On top of that, CBS commentator David Hobbs chewed out Palmer for being a pay driver and for being "not one of the easiest people to lap". Isn't it ironic that Palmer himself went on to chew Lavaggi out for the same thing, a decade later? :lol:

1984 Dallas Grand Prix -- Ayrton Senna spins on the second lap + all the shenanigans Toleman found themselves in.
1984 Dallas Grand Prix -- The 4 or 5 cars the decided to park alongside one of the straightaways. Prost, Lauda, and a bunch of other drivers just pulled over, parked, and climbed out.
1984 Dallas Grand Prix (gee this is a rejectful race) -- Derek Warwick's attempt at a pass for the lead. Attention, Derek, but in order to pass Nigel Mansell for the lead going into a right hander on the outside, you have to actually TURN RIGHT, but not only that, it's a fairly sharp corner, that means you have to SLOW DOWN and not fail into the tires!
1984 Dallas Grand Prix -- The track surface -- but that's what made the 1984 Dallas GP as epic as it was!
1997 Luxembourg Grand Prix -- The Schumachers colliding at the first corner.
2006 Hungarian GP -- Renault failing to attach the wheelnuts and causing Fernando Alonso to crash out of what would be an almost certain race win. Wheelnuts. Renault. Hungary. Hmmmmm....
2006 Bahrain GP -- SUPER AGURI getting their first penalty on a warmup lap.
2008 Lewisteria GP at Silverstone -- Felipe Massa's spins.
2008 Italian GP -- Bourdais's steering wheel malfunctions and forces him to start one lap down -- in the race he could have been a sure podium contender.
2009 German Grand Prix -- Lewis Hamilton's lunge into the first corner. Oh wait, don't I have to brake?! F***!!!

ITV Wales for not showing the 2007 Italian GP because Wales were playing in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Thankfully my sky box has ITV London, as for other welsh F1 fans who didnt they must have been VERY annoyed.

2007 Rugby world cup, Held in france I believe, ITV were hosting it in the UK, and because most of the uninportant matches were held on ITV4, it seemed all of Wales' games haad to be held on ITV1 Wales (regional) cos people in the valleys could still only get Analogue TV.....so that canceled out the F1 race from being shown, they broadcast the EXACT same game on ITV4 in wales. why on earth they didnt swap it around in wales only i'll never know.

It was worse than when BBC Wales let the first half of the 1992 Spanish GP and then decided to go to Glamorgan playing cricket :evil:

...thus making the British public miss the last three laps of the best duel of 2004! To add insult to injury, they replayed said three laps after the podium ceremony. ITV had so many complaints that their web server crashed, but their apology indicated that the advertisers were more important than the viewers.

I was just randomly reading Wikipedia's review of the 1975 US GP where the following was quoted:

The Williams team disappeared completely when Lella Lombardi's car also had electrical failure, and her teammate Jacques Laffite mistook visor cleaning fluid for his eyedrops! He turned out to be okay, but was unable to race. Determined to become the first female driver at The Glen, Lombardi tried to get in the Frenchman's car, but she didn't fit.

Perry McCarthy's book Flat Out Flat Broke is well worth a read for classic reject moments.
I love this one on the day of prequalifying,when he realized no-one was coming to pick him up and he had to be at the circuit in 45 minutes-so rang the team at the circuit.

'Hi it's Perry here-no-one's shown up to collect me.I need to get to the circuit now'
'What did you say your name was?'
'Perry McCarthy'
'And which company are you calling from?'
'Yours.I'm your damn driver'
'Oh really...OK and what we can we do for you'.
'I need a car sent to get me to the circuit now'
'I'm not sure we'd be able to do that.Why do you need to get to the circuit?'

And lets not forget the 1979 US GP W,where for reasons known best to themselves,the starting line was halfway round the track. I think it was Hunt or Villeneuve failed to stop at the line.Cue confusion with some cars trying to stop and others nearly crashing into them,other cars wanting to stop but being unable to and so off they allset again to try another lap

I think it was because Loris Kessel (who contrived the infamous Apollon) took legal actions against RAM Racing, who ran the cars. I couldn't find why he did that, though.

I would have to check in which race, but Derek Warwick triggered back in 1983 the fire extinguisher in his car and the contents was sprayed right into his torso/neck in the last laps. He actually managed to finish the race in the points.

Takuma Sato, Saturday (I think it was final practise, but it might have been qualifying), Canada 2002. He crashed his car - nothing exceptional about that - except that according to an F1 Magazine report at the time, he nearly ended up in the St Lawrence Seaway while attempting to find his way back to the pits for the spare car.

I don't recall that but Pedro Lamy did. Also while testing at Silverstone, Jacques Villeneuve hit a fox when driving in the early BAR/Reynard days. The humour not lost on anybody as Reynard is the French word for... fox.
