How long did Andretti last until he inevitably retired? :|

Big updates for March coming shortly.

Big updates for March coming shortly.

Two laps after the restart. So 14 laps combined.
(For those who weren't on the IRC channel, the race was stopped after a heavy crash of Didier Pironi on lap 12.)

Red flag? We're talking of F1, so there's not going to be another restart and the points will count half for the first six. Or this will be the rare case that the race will continue the day after (or so to speak?)

No, that's not correct. There were races restarted, see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_re ... _One_races

Ground effect updates for Jarama:
Brabham
0-300k: 67, success
300k-500k: 16, fail

March
0-300.000: 70, success
300.000-500.000: 7, fail

Tyrrell
300.000: 61, success

I doubt the Renault and Surtees upgrades were serious. If I'm wrong, adding them for the next race at Anderstorp.

Bah it is the late 70s, customer chassis should be allowed by the teams that did sell chassis. But I would like to take the Hesketh chassis as long as I can rebadge it as a March 771 or something.

In 1978, all teams running customer chassis, except BS Fabrications and Theodore, were one-offs.

Wolf to withdraw?

Following Walter Wolf's disastrous start to the 1978 Formula One season, rumours are rife about the future of his team in Formula One. Many an un-named paddock figure has hinted at a possible withdrawal of the team at the end of a season, where Wolf would either fold or be bought out.

Translation: I'm considering pulling out. I just can't seem to get very interested at the moment.

woo-hoo! It seems we have fulfilled all our goals at the start of the season! A 1-3 finish and that makes everyone at the team more than happy. As we don't have enough money to upgrade the car before receiving some fresh money, all we can hope is not falling behind other competitors for 2nd in championship. Just some more points next race and we will be in a good position for the second part of the season.
To finish first, first you have to finish!

I'm not entirely sure what to do right now. I've got such meagre funds, yet the car desperately needs updating...something about rocks and hard places seems appropriate.

And no, I refuse to overdraft.
