Welcome to the Amazing Race. A travel show where teams of two must race around the world for $1 million!
The teams must race against each other in a race divided by legs, the last team to reach an end of a leg may be eliminated.

Welcome to the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent, England. The circuit is famous for it's two layouts, the short indy circuit and the full grand prix circuit.
Teams must race around either the full circuit or do double the amount of laps on the short. The very first thing you must do in this contest is pick one of the following cars:

Remember folks it is first come first serve, so don't hang around! As this is the first leg, there will be a special prize for the first team to complete the leg, stay safe and have a great race....GO!

OOC, I am hoping for at least 10 teams but will accept more. Once everyone has decided on what car to use, I will reveal the times and the next clue. Some questions you may not know the answer to and since it will be impossible to police you may use google or other sources to find an answer. However the obvious choice might not always be the best one. To prevent everyone stacking when making the same decision there will be a small 1 minute time penalty for following another team's decision so submit your entry fast. For this first task there are only 10 cars available, so any 11th entry or more will have to wait for the first team to finish the task.
Role play is not necessary for gameplay but it would be a nice thing to see to improve the flavour of the thread. There may be an opportunity to sabotage other teams so look out!

The O'Callaghans are siblings, from Galway in Ireland. Fergal lost a bet with his close mates that Mark Dagnall wouldn't win a race in the F1RWRS in 2013 (a bet he lost by some considerable distance...), and therefore has to compete in this race. Feeling that he may as well do as best he can, to preserve the honour of the O'Callaghans, he's managed to rope his younger sister Roisin into the madness.

They decide to use Jason Plato's MG, as it would give Roisin, who has never raced competitively before, a way to hone any skills she may have.

With just one car left and someone expressing interest to join, you better act fast if you want to snag the last car, otherwise you must wait for someone else to finish their run.

The quicker the challenge is completed the faster teams can move on to the next challenge, which is sealed in an envelope waiting for teams. Stay tuned.

I've waited long enough, there is no 10th entry (any late entry will face a 1 hour time penalty).

The 9 gathered teams rush frantically to the race cars to begin the First F1 Rejects Amazing Race Challenge!

Right off the bat there was a minor collision as Equipe Mercusol and the Rockets smash into each other exiting the pitlane. The Candian Blondes were the very first team to pick a car, their enthusiasm worked against them as they found themselves in the gravel right away!

Roisin O'Callaghan may never have raced before but she seems to have taken to the car like a duck to water, the Galway Greats flew in the MG and are the first team to complete the course! The Indonesian pair team of Semangat Garuda put their heads down finishing the course half a minute later. The emirate pair at R.A.G.S seem to have plenty of experience with exotic cars, bringing the porsche home as the 3rd team.

To clarify you can go to the same location as another team, there is no need to all go to different bases! (For starters there are only 8 bases and 9 teams!)

R.A.G.S will go to Red Bull's base. After all, Red Bull and us Arabian folks share the same philosophy. First, getting large masses of people addicted to something, then sell it at high prices. After reaping the profits, it is usually spent on petty things such as Football clubs and such. Which reminds us to ask the nearby Milton Keanes Dons, if they are in need of some cash...

Teams rush to their cars and have decided to scatter across the land, some teams making longer journeys than others!

Once again the Galway Greats complete the task in first place, the Williams factory is just over 30 minutes away from Brands Hatch, they arrive in Groove (the headquarters) at 7:45 AM. The Jalhay Giants are not all that far behind in deciding to go to Woking for the McLaren factory. That trip took just under and hour and they receive their next clue at 8:12 AM.

Semangat Garuda finished the first task in 2nd place and they decided to go straight to Red Bull Milton Keynes, immediately behind them the RAGS team decided to follow.
It took them just over an hour and a half to get there meaning their arrival time was 8:50 and 8:51 AM respectively. Whilst on the other end of the scale Restov Racing decided that research was for squares, decided Marussia sounds close to home and found themselves on a 3 hour + drive to Sheffield... oops.

Here are the full arrival times to the team bases.

Once at the factory teams received their next clue:
Make your way to Heathrow Airport and head Stateside, you must take one of the prearranged flights to either New York JFK, Washington or Philadelphia. From there you must make your way to Indiana and the largest sporting venue in the world, the Indianapolis Motorspeedway.

The flight options are:

10:15 Air France 3600 to New York JFK
10:30 British Airways 1516 to New York JFK

11.15 Virgin Atlantic 021 to Washington
12:00 Jet Airways 9W5303 to Washington

12:15 Aegean Airlines A33406 to Philadelphia
12:35 British Airways 067 to Philadelphia

Only 4 teams may take each flight, teams must arrive in the airport 40 minutes before take off.

The priority of course will be in order of teams reaching the airport, not in the order of post, so you may be bumped off a flight, so you may want to pick a reserve flight just in case. Due to magic meddling and the fact I didn't think anyone would actually go all the way to Sheffield, Restov can make the last flight even though logically it would be impossible.

After the Milton Keynes Dons didn't want our money, they can rot in their Bush League. We'll take the 10:30 British Airways 1516 to New York JFK, so we can arrive at Wall Street in time. We've got lots of cash to waste...we meant to say, invest. Also, we could visit the grave of our god, one of the most influential writers in the history of mankind, perhaps even closer than Allah (Let's hope he didn't hear that). The unforgettable Ayn Rand!

The Fire Emblem duo decides on the flights to Washington D.C. as advantageous. The Virgin Airlines at 11:15 is a tight squeeze with about 9 minutes to spare given the distance from Enstone to Heathrow Airport, so they also have the backup of the Jet Airways flight to Washington D.C. at high noon.

The teams rush towards Heathrow, the Jalhay Giants managed to just edge the Galway Greats to the airport really before the other teams have even made it to their F1 bases!

Airport arrival times (The spaces indicate which hour the teams are on):

The Giants dash straight to the Virgin desk whilst the Greats are off to Air France! These two teams have the luxury to pick any flight and they are on different paths.
Semangat Garuda and RAGS arrive just in time to take the 2nd New York flight if they wish, with RAGS taking the opportunity, as Garuda are off to Philadelphia.
Mercosul arrive too late for New York flights but have the freedom of Washington and Philly, they chose the last flight possible. The Canadian Blondes and Fire Emblem arrive by the slimmest of margins on the Washington Flight, they both miss the 40 minute deadline but with over half an hour until the flight they manage to persuade the officials.

The Rockets and Restov Racing arrive too late to use anything but the last Philly flight, Restov really looked like they wouldn't make it but BA caved in and let them ride.

Of course the long haul flights shuffled up the order. The first team to arrive Stateside was The Galway greats landing at 12:57 local time. RAGS flight was a little delayed but they still arrived in the US 2nd. Ahead of the Washington Flight. The 4 Philadelphia teams ended up very close together at the back.

The next move is to make your way to Indianapolis: Teams can either be brave and drive themselves straight there skipping the final task of the leg.

or take the local connecting flight.
For New York it takes off at 3:15PM
For Washington the flight leaves at 3:36PM
For Philadelphia the first flight leaves at a super tight 3:34PM (so teams better hurry to sign for this one) with a reserve flight at 5:49PM.

Once in Indiana airport teams have one final challenge on the way to Indianapolis Motor Speedway Pitstop.

Teams must take a Detour (A choice of two tasks) with only a clue of the task in the title.
Option a) Bus and Bike.
Option b) Bike and Bus.

(I hope I explained this well enough but if there is any confusion let me know, I will not explain what Bus and Bike mean!)
