Nope, nominating a guest driver is entirely up to you. It's just a chance to possibly get experience for one of your drivers.

With this weekend being Bathurst weekend for the F1RWRS, it's time for the first RTCC action of the year as the circus heads to Mount Panorama!
Before the race starts, here's some race-weekend based info:
Qualifying
Qualifying sessions are an hour long.
The two slowest cars in qualifying will not be allowed to take the start.
Each driver is permitted 12 laps in qualifying. Any driver who completes more than 12 laps will have their times from the session wiped, and will start from the back of the grid.
IF a driver completes more than 12 laps and was in the bottom 2 in qualifying when the 13th lap was completed, the driver will not be permitted to take the start.
TWO points will be awarded for pole position.
For weekends where 2 races are scheduled, each race will have it's own, separate qualifying session.
Races
Races will take place over a distance of 100 kilometres (62 miles). Races may be slightly shorter or longer to avoid a number of laps that is not whole.
Races will start from a standing position.
Points System:
Points for the main driver's and team's championships will be awarded to the top 15 finishers, as follows: 25-20-15-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, with an additional 2 points for pole and 1 for fastest lap.
Points for Manufacturer's, Constructors', and Independant's Cups and Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 finishers as follows: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1, with points awarded on the basis of finishing position relative to the rest of the class. NO points are awarded for pole of fastest lap.
Guest drivers are ineligible for any championship points.
The Round of Bathurst will be broadcast live at about 6 pm GMT on my Ustream, with qualifying before the race. Race discussion as always in the F1Rejects chatroom

James Davies, following the race wrote:Well, it was not the ideal race that we were hoping for. We were certain that Paul would've been on pole, but some conflicting information form the officials meant he did one more lap than he was allowed, so he was forced to start from the back. From there it was simply recovery mode, and he did a fantastic job to recover some potentially valuable championship points.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Tomasz. Even for his first race in RTCC, his pace was disappointing, and the way that he held up Paul was simply unnecessary. He was not going to score any more points, but Paul's pace was such that he could've caught Valenti and Megone before the end of the race. DRT will elect not to take up our option with him for the rest of the season, but we wish him the best of luck in his future career. I cannot at this time confirm who his replacement will be.
Meanwhile, during the race, Davies was spotted down at the Ecurie Fabron pits...

Yes, Sylvain Fabron has been confirmed as Tomasz Gabrysiak's replacement at DRT. Meanwhile, Ecurie Fabron's #89 car is open to someone with lots of cash and no ambition to finish higher than 20th.

Paul Jenkins put in an amazing drive to fight his way into the points from the back of the grid - despite Gabrysiak holding him up. Also of note was an incident on lap 5 - Voeckler lost it from 5th position, causing a car park - Douglas, Megone, Maroon, Phennett and Zaugg decided to join him, with only some able to rejoin.

ZimSport make RTCC driver change
John Zimmer today confirmed that his son Ryan will no longer be racing in the RTCC effective immediately. "Ryan made the call," Zimmer said today. "He enjoyed driving the RejecTruck at Adelaide, then came to the Mountain and just didn't like it."
Ryan Zimmer was originally going to compete at most rounds, except where his schedules in the F1RIRC and RTSS clashed. "He's going to relocate to the US permanently to focus on the IndyCars and the RejectTruck series, and hopefully he'll be able to enjoy those better than the RTCC.
Zimmer confirmed that he already had a replacement lined up. Danish driver Henrik Dehn will drive the #32 Mobil Holden Vectra for the remainder of the season, after Zimmer recently shut down his SARS operation.
So Zimmer out, Dehn in for the #32. Complete with modified livery!

2016 RTCC Round of Britain
Race One Qualifying

Most of the field got their allocations of laps out of the way early on, but a few waitied and the gamble paid off, and duly set the fastest laps. Rory McGatley and Khaled Al-Dizi were the slowest 2 cars and therefore did not take the start.
Race One

Chris Whiting fell down to 3rd early on, after a fantastic start from Jasper Lerby. Scrattenheim took the lead, and fended off Lerby for 18 laps to take the flag and his first RTCC win. The race was characterised by a series of offs at turn 4, where plenty of people just lost their cars into the inside walls, earning the corner the nickname 'Curva do lel'. Reject points for Martin McGovern for being unable to drive in a straight line. At all. Paul Jenkins had a terrific race, after a poor start he managed to fight his way back up to points, and just shy of a podium.
Race Two Qualifying

The Holdens pace from 2015 surfaced again for Roudn 2, with Kickert taking pole from Race 1 winner Scrattenheim. Craig Richards and Marisa Carrera did not qualify.
Race Two

A great race from Crescenzi saw him come out on top after a race long battle with the two Twinings cars to take the second victory of the weekend. However, almost the whole field spun at Clearways on lap 7, causing a huge shuffle in the order that allowed a few backmarkers to taste the sweet reality of points.

A win in Race 2 promotes Crescenzi to the top of the standings, ahead of Australia's winner Jack Maddock, who had a quiet but consistent weekend. Scrattenheim also jumps up to the top of the standings after his win and a steady race 2. Paul Jenkins also manages to break into the top 5. At the bottom of the standings, 2 points for Bill Phennett and the Crusaders team may prove vital later on in the year.

To accommodate the new season finale, changes have been made to the closing events of the Reject Touring Car calendar.
