Forget about the Trulli train, this is ridiculous!

I'm a peaceful guy, but Grouillard is possibly the 1 driver I'd be tempted to punch in the face. Not randomly obviously, just if I was in a race with him.

The guy was responsible for Piquet failing to qualify for the 1989 Belgian GP. Plus, his idiotic attitude one time when he blew his engine and returned to the pits spilling oil all over the track robbed Senna of a pole, I don't remember when.

You know, never once have I heard any of the Americans complain about SPEED's coverage of F1. If I did a shot for every time someone complained about Legard or Brundle on here, my liver would have already failed.

Maybe I haven't seen enough of SPEED's tv coverage, I did find a video somewhere online where Hobbs and Jackie Stewart were commentating over an old race, 1973 at the Nurburgring (One that Sir Jackie himself won), while the SPEED team were at Indy a few days before the F1 race started

ESPNs coverage was more suited to an IndyCar race, and it just seemed too patronising. I'm hoping they meant well, but to me the main commentator was subliminally suggesting "look at this rubbish"

Yes it is. Senna qualified 3rd, 0.298s off Patrese's pole time.

Yes it is. Senna qualified 3rd, 0.298s off Patrese's pole time.

As if that wasn't enough, I seem to recall that Grouillard's spilt more oil in a simliar way during the actual race too.

part of that has to be the fact that we americans are happy to have any F1 coverage at all. the situation was so much worse before speed[vision] took over.

Is this an actor? Because the guy operating the camera does not reveal the screen that the F1 race is on, I'm pretty sure theres the race on in the background, either Italians have a true undestanding of "breech of copyright" and avoid it at all occasions. Otherwise this is a Ferrari Fan (Obv.) doing the opposite of what I was doing once Lewis Hamilton became F1 champion.

Please realise though, despite my personal bias, this is not "rubbing it in", this is true global understanding played out in a world where online opinion can divide people, but no matter what language, recognition through expression "I am VERY upset", may be said differently around the world, but we can all tell when someone is Sad/Happy/Angry/Overjoyed and so on.

But I'm convinced if he isnt acting, then he would have grabbed his friends camera and smashed it out of severe rage, which would have lead to the lack of this clip on youtube.

If Intellectual property is enough to warrant a $50 Millon Dollar fine out of Mclaren, then THIS man must be given the death sentence, and anyway this is from 2002, how on earth could Ferrari POSSIBLY be concerned about everyone elses car that year when they probably did not need a driver to be in one of their cars

And man, what reject names we have in here. Naoki Hattori in contention for the Championship with a certain German beloved by most and Kazuyoshi Hoshino. Also you will see a young Shinji Nakano and a young Noberto Fontana in action, along with other famous names. Mix this with insane rain and an even more insane announcer and you have gold at hands!

I've always liked Japanese sports announcers, this guy here could probably make a GP at Valencia or Hungaroring seem exciting.

I wonder if he still does F1 commentary, if so I need to start watching Japanese broadcasts of the races from now on. :mrgreen:
