Well, that explains that then. Kind of hoped that they would have told that on their stream side so that I wouldn´t had spend few minutes trying to get it work until giving up and wondering if it would actually work when it matters. Oh well, doesn´t matter much, time to get ready for qualifying.
While I have never been a fan of Formula E, I am sad its receiving literally zero coverage over here, being that the damn race is being held here! And there's an American driver and team! But no, nothing.

Me either Jolyn, maybe that's why we're both out, eh?

You live in Miami?
His location says, "The Wyoming Valley, PA."
And I just caught the end of qualifying on the website, sent there via a link through their app...

I meant "mainstream" coverage. Only two blurbs on NBC Sports racing page. Even F1 and Indy get more than that. Hell, even GRX is shown live here.

That performance by Scott Speed. Pureally amazing. And another great Formula E race. It just doesn't stop. 5 races, 5 different winners. Best racing series.. in the world.

Scott Speed is such a cool guy. This race really reinvigorated him. I'm now convinced that some drivers are simply better suited to open-wheelers, and that spending a lot of time in tintops is a waste of their talent.
Pointrox wrote:Scott Speed nearly rekt the entire field in his debut race - how cool is that? Also, Loic Duval! How he managed to grab that 7th position?
Because Loic Duval is a good racing driver! Though I imagine the format of the series really suits guys with lots of LM/endurance experience, given it's about treading the fine line between speed, consistency and conserving power.
If Duval and Speed can show up and drive like that, imagine how badly flattened the entire field would be if Andre Lotterer showed up one day? Someone needs to make this happen for the Berlin ePrix!

I think it's ludicrous he hasn't driven the Abt car already. I'll be disappointed if they don't give him a drive in Berlin. Duval's performance in Miami surely must tempt the Legend into seeking a drive this season.

Honestly, I disagree. There weren't many passing opportunites as far as I could see, and the track flow seemed poor - not to mention that if the last turn was wide enough to not require constant yellows, that would be another passing place.
Thankfully, the fact that Formula E cars race very well against each other meant that that was rather peripheral.

From a technical point of view you're right and I agree with you but in terms of aesthetics I felt this was a better track than some of the others, it felt more street circuit than large car park with barriers.

And that's exactly what the Berlin round will be, well, actually an airport rather than a car park, but there's a lovely, scenic, picturesque video of it here :

I agree with you there, the track was certainly better looking than most others Formula E has visited - I think only Uruguay stands out more in my mind.

That was Puente del Este, along the seafront? That was indeed memorable.
And in further news, London's Battersea track is likely to have terracing rather than grandstands, and with a likely capacity of 30,000 per day.

Atm I'm not certain whether it's my drinking or that Formula E is the inverse universe
Formula E just showcases how no one actually knows how good any driver is/was based on their Formula 1 career. Trulli is the only driver to have won an F1 race (indeed only one of three to have got so much as a podium, the others being Heidfeld and Sato) and he's getting destroyed race in, race out. It also turns out that Nicolas Prost is miles better than Bruno Senna and thus should have gotten the Brawn drive alongside Button (which Senna lost out to Barrichello) in 2009 and thus would have likely been F1 world champion that year.

To be fair, though, Trulli is the oldest driver out of those three and was always more of a one lap specialist anyway.

The incident in my avatar overshadows absolutely everything else that Nelsinho achieved in his career!
Well, that is indeed true, and was rather indefensible really...

At least stories like that help to discourage the thinking that Formula E is a bit of a one-season-wonder novelty, a point of view I partly still hold myself. After talk that the series would fizzle out before the season even finished I wonder if it's time to start believing that it could become a permanent racing fixture?
