Wow. Just wow.

I assumed that Zoran Stefanovich would have had all the 1997 F1 Lolas. Clearly not. If I were a millionaire, I would want to build up my own car museum and this would definately be one that I would want in there...

Maybe Zoran had already attempted to buy it, but I doubt Lola would have sold it for only 3315 euros, no matter how rejectful the car was.
This is a cool spot.

I'd buy it and use it to finish last in EUROBOSS races if I had the money (presuming it's still driveable, I'd imagine the engine, gearbox and ECU would either have been removed or have seized up by now).

Someone email them and ask for the price! :o

Then we can all chip in a few quid, and finally form the F1 rejects racing team

Edit: I wonder why, after all these years, they suddenly decide to sell it now.....

I don't think it could with only 500€. Anyway, I could buy it to try to beat the tuner boys in my town with their Saxos and 206s.

The T96-50 F3000 car starts at £50,000, so I would expect the T97-30 to be a fair amount above that.

I would love this... maybe if I had this, I could try and bluff my way into F1 next year... just stick some new wings on it and take a picture of Kazuki Nakajima in the monocoque..

Got an email from lola cars about the costs and what you will get:

Many thanks for your email. The 1997 Lola Formula 1 is sold as a rolling chassis. It comes with its original gearbox casing suspension, brakes, wheels and tyres and all race worthy components.

We are currently receiving offers of around £100000 for this very rare and well know car, in this configuration.

We would also be happy to consider putting the car back as a running and race worthy car.

Hmm, £100000? Lets see, how many regular members are there? Say 100. That means we all need to cough up £1000 each...

It looks like there isn't that much interesting for the car lola is selling.
Got another email (after 10 days) when i mailed them back couldn't afford it.

This is what the told:
Do you have the possibility to take care yourself or the engine fitting, loom etc. In that case, We would only supply the car with gearbox and radiator and you take care of the plumbing and electrics and look at reducing the price?

Could this be of interest?

To be honnest im really getting interest a.t.m.

Well the asking price is now 55.000 pounds you have to do the plumbing engine etc yourself.
Me and some friends are now really thinking about buying the car.

So i will keep you all up to date if we buy it.

55pounds!! Holy crap thats a good deal. Although what would you have to exactly do to get it up and running. I guess it wouldnt be as simple as sloting in the engine nd connecting a few things up i suppose. But they must be desparate to sell it.

We decided to not buy the lola T97.

We will get our race licence, and we will buy perhaps a Stillo Abarth change it a littlebit so we can start rally racing.
Maybe where gonna also start in a cupleague Like renault clio cup.

so if their others interested i can give you the email of the guy who sells it.
