1. Alpine. The only team to not get a car to the chequered flag, and truth be told never looked likely to score. Both cars apparently retired with the same issue.

2. TV Director. Appalling performance in the booth.

Dishonorable mention to Nikita Mazepin, we expect garbage from him but this weekend was plumbing new depths of ineptitude.

Alpine. Nowhere and then DNFd.

Aston Martin. Went under the radar a bit with how bad Apline were, but also bad. Kimi handed them a point to let them off the hook.

Kimi. Point's a good result for Alfa, but with a couple of laps to go Kimi decides to chuck it. As was remarked on in Discord, he might not get another chance to score a point in his career.

Nikita Mazepin - Dreadful even by his standards. No pace, could barely string a legal lap together. A menace in traffic. Hopeless.

Alpine - Even without the double DNF, looked far off the boil this race. Picking fights with Alfa Romeo is not a good look.

Alpine. Before both cars retired, the Team Manager tried making a ridiculous argument that Alonso's wholly off-track overtake on Giovinazzi was legal, because Raikkonen passed Alonso off-track earlier.

The fact is, Raikkonen was forced wide when going side-by-side with Alonso. Nothing about those situations was remotely similar!

1- Alpine- both cars DNF and off the pace and making Masi sound reasonable by having an argument about something that they were in the wrong about.

2- TV direction- Shall we show some overtakes. NOPE. Here is a picture of Verstappen driving instead,

HM- Kimi- Another Spin and threw away what could be his final point in f1. Just go home man.
HM Mazispin- He might have had damage I do not know. But by god, he was THAT far off the pace in the race.

1. Alpine: right at the back of the midfield pack all race, poor starts for both drivers, and a double-DNF. Uncharacteristically poor from a team that's won this year

2. TV Direction: Rather poor compared to usual, despite it being an FOM feed; kept missing the scant on-track action and was very strangely cut

The Podium Ceremonies: Utterly insane, and I'm still not quite sure what to think of them

Mazepin: slightly more hopeless than usual even

I'm voting for Alpine. It's quite embarrassing when both of your cars retire while only one other driver fails to finish. Not Alonso's best race either, though he did provide some entertainment.

Alpine were generally poorest but Kimi made the most costly error.

Mazepin also finished ridiculously behind Schumacher considering the pair generally don't race anyone else.

Only possible DHM at the sharp end to me was Bottas - I expected him to at least make it to P4 and his absence from the sharp end possibly cost Hamilton crucially too as it was always 2 Red Bulls v 1 Mercedes until Perez dropped off later.

Kimi Raikkonen: Was that his last shot at scoring points? If so it’s bitterly disappointing to throw it away in that manner

Valterri Bottas: Got overtaken by an AlphaTauri and reverted to the norm of never looking like passing relatively strong cars

The podium car: I know the Americans love their presentation and spectacle (The driver intros from 2017 anyone?) but do you really need a car so big even Shaq O Neill looked small in it?

Nikita Mazepin: Has he finished the race yet?

1) Alpine: Unreliable, while not exactly setting the world alight when they were going. Alonso's shenanigans just capped off a bad day.

2) Kimi Raikkonen: Shows why he's right to be hanging up the boots at the end of the season.

2. Mazepin - So far behind for (afaik) no good reason

Edit: Okay, so it turns out there were some good reasons. I'll give the second nomination to turn 11 for being a hairpin – I like hairpins, but come on, Austin's got enough of them – without noticeably making the racing any more interesting (though W Series had fun with it).
