Tim is the only thing stopping it being the worst podcast in the history of the universe.

Sorry, shinji. I realised I forgot about including the Irish in my post. Should have edited it but never mind. You've done it for me. And the nasal voice is so true. You never sound on recordings as you think you do in real life. One reason why I didn't want to get my voice recorded for the podcast. (That, and I really don't have a mic or Skype.)

According to this podcast you've now got a driver in F1 doing well, all down to my assumptions of his nationality, and thus making TimmyB say he was too.

Worryingly, Shinji's voice is very similar to my own when it's recorded. After a few seconds, I was thinking, "Did he steal my voice or something when I wasn't looking?"

To clarify, it sounds like what I sound like with a stuffed-up nose, but not necessarily in a critical way.

I must say I enjoyed the diversity in accents, my plain London accent seems meek by comparison compared to those Welsh pronounciations and Ed's Irish lisp. Enjoyable podcast though, I congratulate those who put up with seeming epic frustration and anguish to put this podcast together.

Guys, here's an idea, see if you like it.

I'm contemplating trying what I was going to suggest for the last edition, namely that I record the podcast but invite submissions from everyone.

Given that the last one's only been up a few days, and there's 3 weeks till Spain, I was thinking maybe by the end of this week I would put up a list of news items / race talking points / rejects in other categories. (The list of news items would be updated if more news items come up.)

Then whoever was interested could send me a clip of them ranting about any of those particular issues, each clip being 30s to 1min max (and you can send me multiple clips if you've got things to say on a number of different issues), and I'll weave them into the podcast.

That would save you guys from trying to coordinate Skype sessions, and it would save one of you poor souls from having the kostas22 nightmare experience of editing - let me do the dirty work instead. More of you could contribute as well - and instead of having to commit whole slabs of time, you'd just have to find a way of recording a snippet and sending it to me - a 5-10min job at most!

What do you guys think of that?

Sure, go for it!

The podcast is sure to have a different feel as there will be no 'discusion' as such, but it'll be interesting to see how it turns out and it certainly prevents a few headaches. :x

I'm happy to help out with the 'dirty work' of editing like I did for kostas22 for the all race reviews on the previous one. However, if you're willing to do it all yourself eytl then be our guest!

Sounds like a good idea to avoid the editing hell. How do you propose that these sound-bites will be put together to make some kind of coherent podcast (I'm just worried that it will end up sounding like a list of opinions, which is pretty much what the forum is anyway)?

May I also suggest that a GMIFNP (Great Moments in Formula Nippon Punditry) be included in the next podcast to incorporate my signature? (Unlike the above, this is not a serious question)
