rFactor online league proposal (1990 most likely)

I'm thinking of setting up an F1 1990 online league amongst this forum. Please reply if you fancy joining.

Good to hear, i'll give more details out if more people show interest. It's a shame you can only race on the 1990 tracks with the 1990 mod, otherwise i'd have done a Singapore race.

You can get around the restriction to tracks from 1990 - but in order to do that, you have to edit the rfm file, which will cause a mismatch online (it is a very simple fix - open the rfm file in Notepad and change the line which has Track Filter = 1990 to Track Filter = *, which will allow you to use any track).

So, the only way that I can think of preventing a mismatch would be if everybody who wanted to play had exactly the same rfm file (at least, I think that would work) - perhaps inconvenient at first, but it would potentially give you the option to use any track you want afterwards.

Thanks for that mario, I can do a lap of 1m59 at Singapore in a Life, I'm only 6 seconds quicker in a 1990 Mclaren.

If anyone's interested in this, we don't have to do 1990, any season (maybe except 1992 because I can't seem to get the 1992 mod to work)

I could do use a number randomiser to decide which cars we get at each race.

I don´t think we´re gonna be enough people for an online league but we could set some weekly meetings.

That's what I like to hear. If we do 1990, i'll have to find a way to random who gets what car, getting the Life would be too unfair though, even Chris Dagnall would struggle in that car.
