Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Korea

As the members of the "Victims of Adrian Sutil Society" convey to think about what has been going on in the last 3 hours, you are once again invited to vote for the Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race, a democratically-decided award

based on the assumption that, at any moment in time, there is a non-zero probability that even the slowest, most inexperienced and least reliable of underdogs might win the race. That under every rock, there might be a gold nugget. This is the award for that first podium that we all celebrate, for the overtake no-one was expecting, for Nico Rosberg's first win. This is the award, in short, for the driver or team that makes you go "Woah! Where did THAT come from?!".

Just remember: this is a feel-good award, that will focus on nothing but track action.

Usual rules: everyone gets two votes. First vote is worth 10 points, the second 6.

1st (10 points): Liuzzi has come in for a lot of stick all year, drove wonderfully today. 6th is an unbelievably good result after being taken out of Q1.

2nd (6 points): Schumacher did very well to come in as best of the rest again.

The Track - It didn't fall to pieces as almost everyone expected.

1) Vitantonio Liuzzi: One sixth place closer to un-Rejectdom, and a solid drive from a poor grid slot.

2) The track: It was finished and gave us an astonishingly good race.

Schumacher - A bit anonymous, but still a brilliant drive from my third-least favourite German driver.
Liuzzi - I didn't even notice he overtook Barry at the end, but well done when under pressure for his drive.

1. Vitantonio Liuzzi - His wet weather specialist team-mate did badly, but Liuzzi was good and equalling his career-best result of China 2007.

1. Tonio Liuzzi: It may be too late to save his career but that was a very impressive drive.
2. Mercedes: Rosberg hauled that crapbox up to 5th on the grid and he could have finished 2nd or even 1st had he not been collected by Webber while Schumacher pulled off some classy overtaking manouvers on Kubica and Button on his way to 4th.

Liuzzi: Stonkingly solid drive. Left Koba in the dust for laps and going ahead of Rubens a real bonus.

Schumi: Rainmaster is back. Great overtaking manoeuvres. Definitely deserves a podium finish if he has a better car.

1.Liuzzi - As Legard would've said "Where did THAT come from".

2.Hamilton - First time I've seen some of the old spirit in F1. The spirit that made legends,- mainly because he had nothing to loose I guess, but still! For the first time ever, I actually liked Hamilton during a race!

Others who get a star in my book is: Schumacher, The track and Maylander, for not running out of fuel ( :mrgreen:

Liuzzi - Force India were pretty quick and while Sutil kept overdriving the car to try and get up the field Liuzzi kept a clear head and drove well to a great finish
Schumacher - He finally awakes and shows us the talent we are used to seeing from the guy. Although I must say I do hope this race was a one-off for him

1. Liuzzi - An anonymous but safe drive might just secure a drive for next year.

Like most people, Liuzzi first (i barely noticed he was there, and suddenly he's in 6th near the end!), and second vote goes to Mercedes (definitely a lost podium for Rosberg, and Schumacher was more impressive than usual too).

Why not driving like this, um, ALL season? It's a bit too late. Still, from 17th to 6th, it's a brilliant result.

2. Michael Schumacher
Yet again, he managed to pick the pieces up after Rosberg got taken out, and he finished fourth! The doubters are about to get shut up?

Honourable mentions go to Hamilton for being brave and willing to race, Sauber for another double pointscoring, and the track, even though it HAS its flaws.

1. Liuzzi. After he looked at first to be in for another dreadful weekend and sliding all over the place early on, how on earth did he finish sixth and nearly unrejectify himself?

2. HRT. A double finish after possibly the most Laurel and Hardy-esque performance in F1 history. Enough said.

1) Liuzzi; like the others have said, that was a great race for him and it shows that he can drive well. We need more of this, not the sandbagging Liuzzi we have seen before

Liuzzi - So pleased to see him doing well as he gets an awful lot of stick but I really don't think he's that bad.
Schumacher - Shame it didn't stay a bit wetter as I think he might have got 3rd. Nice to see the old Michael back.

Needs 1 more 6th place, he got his first at the 2007 Chinese Grand Prix for Toro Rosso.
