Watka's rFactor championship

Hey guys,

I got a new computer fairly recently and it plays rFactor and F1 Challenge a lot better than my old one did, so I was thinking of getting back into playing rFactor. I don't necessarily intend to do race reviews here (I won't have the time to make them particularly wordy), but I'm inviting you to put together a season's calendar for me! I'll probably start with the 1990 season, but I won't necessarily use the same tracks as the 1990 season. Feel free to recommend any track on here, the only restriction being:

1. It can't be a dirt track.
2. It can't be a kart track.
3. It must be a real life track (it CAN be an oval if you want).
4. The track must have existed in some form in 1990, or I can "re-open" tracks where racing was stopped before 1990!

Well there's only 12 teams at the moment and 22 cars. You can choose between Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, Benetton, Lotus, Brabham, Arrows, Tyrrell, Leyton House, AGS, Coloni and Life.

Apparently there's going to be an update soon to add the Dallara and Osella cars.

Well there's only 12 teams at the moment and 22 cars. You can choose between Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, Benetton, Lotus, Brabham, Arrows, Tyrrell, Leyton House, AGS, Coloni and Life.

Apparently there's going to be an update soon to add the Dallara and Osella cars.

So I see, I thought they'd released those cars, but obviously not. I can confirm I won't do a season in a Life. They are ridiculously slow to the point that it's not even funny.

Thanks for the track suggestions, I will probably only 1 track from each country. Keep them coming.

Settled on a 20 race calendar. Indianapolis was going to feature, but it's easy to win there because the CPU don't always set up their cars for max speed.

Sorry, I was using the Brabham. On the currently difficulty setting (which is low enough as it is) I can barely get within 2 seconds a lap of the Coloni.

We should do this as a championship during the F1 season - everyone does qualifying laps in the Life (in standard configaration, so 1) everyone is driving the exact same car 2) it won't fit most tracks, so it will probably be suitably awful to drive). We agree on a calendar, each round will be in the week following a real-life 2011 GP - and we just post our best times here. Anyone interested?

I'll probably start on my championship next week, but I'll be playing on a really low difficulty setting! Depending on how much time it takes to write them, I may do some race reports.
