It is actually quite rare to get spam on these forums now, so somebody has done a good job to keep most of it out.

It's the new forum software. It sure as hell isn't me. I've been so busy with other things that I'm only coming by once every day or two.

Dear everybody,

Because I'm currently overwhelmed with school and work, and my free time has dwindled to practically zero, I would like you all to just start flagging posts that require moderation (be they spam, flames, trolling or anything else), so that I can take care of them even if I'm not following the forum on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks,

Kenny

I'm just going to remind you all that this thread is here, so you guys can post on it when you report things. I check this particular forum far more often than I do check the website as a whole, so keep that in perspective.

Dear moderators, a minute ago, something strange happened that I'd like you to investigate. I clicked on this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4014 and I got a virus alert and an alert from my firewall that some software wanted access to the internet. My guess is that one of the photos on the page contains troublesome code.
I hope it's not those Indian hackers again. After all, we are supporters of both Force 1ndia and Karun Chandhok on this board, aren't we?

I've posted an image to that thread - the one with the Felipe Massa ad. It's hosted on my Dropbox account, so I'll check it up right away, and in case it's at fault I'll change/delete it. You may be right about malicious code hiding in image metadata and just waiting for faulty image-loading software to trigger it.

Edit: I've just updated my antivirus to the latest version, then checked the image file up - "no threats found". Might try checking the rest... but had no trouble with that thread so far.

Following up on Jeroen's suggestion of putting anti-spam reports here instead of the 'Wonderful world of shoe spam' thread.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4659
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4660
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4661
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4662

Although perhaps it would've been more appropriate there, considering one of those spam threads is for shoes.
