Nothing anywhere near so far for the quote. The two drivers were both current at the time of the quote, so it wasn't in commentary.

Zanardi? :?:

Danny Sullivan. The key phrase there is 'a year out of racing hurts'. Sullivan left Rick Galles's team after 1993 after he and Little Al weren't really getting along, and nobody was willing to take Sullivan for 1994.

Well, I hate to break this to you Cynon, but your answer is incorrect!

Of all 94 drivers to score a Formula 1 pole position, who is the youngest driver to score his final pole?

That was quick.

Indeed, Andrea de Cesaris took his only pole at the 1982 US West GP, at 22 years 10 months and 4 days old. Only Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso and Barrichello scored a pole at a younger age than him, but all scored poles later on. Their last poles so far came at 26, 24, 29 and 37 respectively.

UnderaCheever is the only other driver I can think of that was out for 1994, but he didn't spend the whole year out of the car because that was his first race in A.J. Foyt's car.

I'd say Derek Warwick, but I don't think he was ever interviewed. I know he was looking to join IndyCar but never did.

Speaking of IndyCar, here's a recent piece of trivia. Over the last three years, what is similar about Dan Wheldon's results at Indy and Ed Carpenter's results at Kentucky?

Okay, I'm thinking the comment was about Irvine, the person making it was...Brundle?

My thinking behind it is this incident in 1994.

Not Ide or Irvine. (When would Schumacher have been anywhere near Ide apart from lapping him?)

Another clue: the two drivers were former team-mates but were no longer at the time of the incident (I'm not sure if their time together ended in acrimony though).

In fact, it is West. I counted 1988 (which Zakspeed was still on and off tracks)-1998 (Mika's first title with McLaren), both sponsored by that cigarrette

I wasn't keen about how many time was, so I went for the 10 year gap, so...

Anyway, to make up, here is another question

In 1984, Emmerson Fittipaldi "attempted" a F1 comeback with Spirit. Of course, it never happened (only a failed test), but there was another driver John Wickham and Gordon Coppuck found to fill that seat. Questions are:

1-Who was this driver? From where he was?
2-That driver brought the most 'unique' (IMHO) sponsors ever to appear on a F1 car. Which sponsors were those?
3-Why that driver wasn't picked by Spirit?

Special Ed has been good at Chicagoland as well. I'm not entirely sure why, but he did say it was the one track other than Indy that he really wanted to win at.

Suits his style maybe? I asked a similar question as to why Bryan Herta was so good at Laguna Seca some time back.

But 1.5 Mile Ovals are fun to drive on, from my limited experience on CCC and rFactor. :P

It was the first race after 9/11, and it was also a year to the GP after a marshal was killed in a race, so Ferrari decided to race without sponsors as a mark of respect.

The particular sponsor was the comic "Topolino", the Italian equivalent of Mickey Mouse I suppose.
