A very patriotic anthem. But sadly, most English people are not in the least patriotic. And the Queen, I don't see why people don't like her, she earns the country millions of pounds in tourism and she doesn't do much anyway.
God save the Queen is good but not the best, I feel
Rule Britannia would be more apt.
She earns
England millions of pounds in tourism. Scotland earns f*** all from having a queen yet our tax money still goes to her. It's a complete disgrace. It's also a disgrace that officially speaking God Save the Queen is the anthem of Scotland. Scots have passion, Flower of Scotland is a powerful anthem, we have something England never will. Look at our football team, even if we're shite we still cheer louder than the English and complain less.

Indeed, Flower of Scotland is a fantastic anthem. Before rugby matches, when the bagpipes drop out, and it's just the entire stadium in acapella unison; it makes me feel proud to be Scottish, and that doesn't even make sense.

It shows how much excitement the race generated that most people here are more interested in arguing about national anthems - speaking of which:

kostas22, technically Scotland does not have an official national anthem (neither do England or Wales, for that matter), as God Save the Queen is the national anthem of the collective body known as the United Kingdom. Scotland and Wales might have adopted various songs as anthems, but strictly speaking they are not officially national anthems, although if the Scottish assembly wanted to, it could name a particular anthem as its national anthem (but they can't actually agree on what it should be).

I'd agree with that - now, anyway. I think the test at Mugello was just what they needed to get the car sorted.
The Mugello test did coincide with a number of updated parts, most notably a modified exhaust system, tighter rear bodywork and modifications to the brake ducts and turning vanes that hang off them, so it is certainly possible that the F2012 has improved in performance since then. I guess that the best indication will be how well Massa performs - given that he looked much more confident in the car in Monaco, it suggests that some of the previous instability that was noted during testing and the early races is being eliminated, and the car seems to be responding more predictably to set up changes.

Yeah, I am. Hense the nonsensical nature of Flower of Scotland making me feel patriotic towards Scotland. It's just that good an anthem.

I'm sorry, but nothing can equal the sheer passion and epicness I feel singing the Spanish National Anthem...
...you don't believe me? That's because you've never been singing it, with a lot of people around you, all at once: "loooooo looooo loooooo loooooooo lolo lolo lolo lolo loloooo, loooo, loooooooo, lolo lolo loloooooooooooooooooo!!!"
Note: all these "o" must be pronunced like the two in "London", not like the two in "Liverpool", for full epic effect. (And yes, I know the first "o" in London is not pronounced like the second one, but don't ask an Spaniard to differenciate between as many vowel sounds as you Anglo-Saxons like to have! A good Spaniard will never accept anything more than five vowels!)

Going back to the race, an interesting point:
Yesterday was the eighth time Michael Schumacher tried to equal Senna's record of six wins at Monaco. In at least half of his attempts (2002 through 2006, with the exception of 2005) he had a good enough car to win the race; you can argue yesterday he also had it. In three of these five attempts he didn't manage to set the fastest time, even when his car clearly was the class of the field (2002 and 2004); in the other two he was fastest, but couldn't start from pole (2006 and 2011).
It looks like it's a cursed race for him!

Also the UK Conservative government would probably try to block a move for us to stop using God Save the Queen completely, because they're anti-Scottish and don't want us to abandon their English institutions. I'm sure they've claimed at one point that disowning GSTQ would be unlawful and we would still be bound to use God Save the Queen as a member of the United Kingdom.
Also, my great-grandmother was from Ireland

Despite the Belgian-ness, i disagree. The Limburg national anthem is way better!

Yes, our province actually has a national anthem (shared with the Dutch province with the same name, of course), but because we're not a nation or a subnation, it's only officious.

How about the Portuguese anth... Ok, I better stop now.
It makes me feel patriotic but only because of the words which speak of when there was a Portuguese Empire and not nowadays when we owe money to half the finantial world!
Besides that is not that great.

If by some major miracle Schumacher wins a race ever again, this should be played at the podium ceremony.

I want Webber to win the championship, because I know Button won't.
I won't complain if Alonso wins though, because he's leading the championship and consistently scoring podiums in a car that's probably somewhere in the midfield. He's clearly the best driver in the sport.
I'd like this, too. It'd be a great story of how the poorly treated second driver rose to the challenge and put his German teammate to shame. Mark should've won it in 2010, so now people would be on about "Aussie boy" instead of "finger boy"
