I need to come up with a price for it, that would work for both of us. (Project-4 gets the first upgrade as part of their contract) They will be available to you after the next race (same time Project-4 receives them). How is you're budget looking? You can PM me or answer on here, whatever works.

We have 512K left. We have enough for one more upgrade but we may spend it on a different aspect of the car.

Cecotto (without h) and Fabi didn't even want to drive the ATS for money, why do you think they would pay for it then? And also, Rossi wants to do at least two races for his money. And there is no race in San Marino either.

Okay, we'll be glad to see the pre-qualifying group reset as none of the teams that beat us have any business still being in this session. As we seem to be quicker than March and Kaushen (and probably Surtees and Rebaque) with our professional drivers we have high hopes of making the race at Spa thanks to easier competition and a large grid.

1980 European Grand Prix - Race:

For the first time, Formula 1 visited the Mugello Circuit in Italy. Earlier this year, boycott threats had resulted in the replacement of the South African GP with the European GP. Arrows locked out the front row, followed by the two McLarens. At the start, the Arrows stayed ahead of the McLarens, while the Shadows both passed Peterson. Depailler and Laffite were battling for the lead, while the two McLaren drivers were fighting for the last podium spot. The Shadows moved upp to 5th and 6th after passing the Brabham car of Scheckter.

After 7 laps, there was the first out of many engine failures. John Watson in the Project Four-BMW had to retire. Osella, after a promising qualifying, had a disappointing home race, as both cars retired within a few laps. At the front, the McLarens had closed the gap to the Arrows drivers, creating a four car battle for the lead. Hunt, Pryce and Laffite constantly changed positions, while Depailler started to drop back. Tambay also started to close the gap to the leaders. His teammate Johansson retired with another BMW engine failure.

Pryce had taken the lead, and started building a small gap, when his BMW engine exploded. He was out of the race, and the battle between Laffite and Hunt was suddenly for the lead again. But Hunt wasn't fast enough to challenge Laffite yet, and kept the gap constantly at 3 to 4 seconds. Tambay meanwhile had passed Depailler, and was just another three seconds behind Hunt.

The situation stayed the same at the front for some laps now, with none of the top three making any progress. Meanwhile, in the midfield, cars continued to drop out due to mechanical failures. That caused the fight between Reutemann and the two Ferraris to be for points, as they were running 5th to 7th now.

Tambay was now clearly the fastest driver in the field, and was chasing Hunt. For some 20 laps, Hunt managed to keep him behind, but then he made the pass and started to close the gap to Laffite. Laffite couldn't go the pace of the Shadow, who was reducing the gap by around 0.5-1 second per lap, and soon Tambay could be seen in his mirrors. He couldn't do much about Tambay, and the Shadow driver took the lead.

With 12 laps to go, Laffite's engine blew up. The top 6 remained unchanged for the rest of the race. Patrick Tambay scored the first race win of his career, and the first for the Shadow team as well. Hunt finished 2nd once again, and continued to extend his championship lead. Depailler finished third in the Arrows, and de Angelis scored another 4th place for Ferrari. Carlos Reutemann finally made it to the end of a race, and scored two well-deserved points for Ensign, and Gilles Villeneuve finished 6th in the Ferrari.

1. Patrick Tambay (Shadow DN11) 69 Laps
2. James Hunt (McLaren M29) +6.847

Yeah, finally got into a race! Well done Rene, this is why we made the gamble to pay you. And we beat a Lotus and both Penskes too!

Now all you need to do is finish and we will have Kaushen beat for the season. :D
