February 16, 2006: Fresh from his somewhat-higher-than-average Champ Car results, American driver Anthony "Toni" Jefferson signed up as Super Aguri F1 Team's test and reserve driver today.
March 9, 2006: Midland stopped their hunt for a test driver, with lack of interest being of the role being a reason, says a spokesman for the team.
March 10, 2006: Jefferson will have a testing in Bahrain with the team, to fulfill his job as the Friday test driver.
Toni Jefferson, after the test, wrote:I set 1:47.040 as my best during the test. Not bad. They set aerodyanmics right, I can push harder.
March 12, 2006: Meanwhile, Rubens Barichello convincingly wins the Bahrain Grand Prix with Raikkonen second and Michael Schumacher third. It would be Honda's debut win and their first win since the sixties.
