Re: Commercial breaks

Here is the moment where ITV cut into a break in Suzuka 2006. In 1997 ITV cut into breaks when Hill passed Schumi in Budapest and when the McLarens retired from the lead at the Nurburgring. Ffs you can even see the smoke just as they cut off! I remembered that ad break, but now I look again, just.....

Re: The 2014 'Super Time! For Super-Susie' British GP Thread

I must say Alonso's defending from Vettel was the best battle like that since.....Schumacher on Hamilton at Monza 2011? I certainly expected Vettel to have flown by within a lap or two! But that was great entertainment with the battle for the lead having been decided - but god did the championship ...

Williams' Strategists : Could very easily have won the race by simply pitting before the Mercedes cars both times, and using greater straight-line speed to stay ahead. Kept both cars out far too long at pitstops 1 & 2, and gifted Mercedes another 1-2. Not the first dodgy Williams call this year...

I wouldn't hand the title to Hamilton just yet - Red Bull are slowly improving, and does no one remember 2012? - Ban DRS
- Reintroduce refuelling
- More stable tyres, no longer necessary to use both tyre types
- V10, normally-aspirated engines
- Triannual tests at circuits not used on the current championship calendar, with race drivers banned from partaking
- Fewer flyaway races
- No freeze on engines

One thing to say about Piquet is that he did have a car that decided to blow up every minute in 1982, so he easily could have been a quadruple world champion as this was the year that no one took a stranglehold on the championship and Keke Rosberg won with a solitary win. The same could be said for...
