On a further beyond the headlines note, did anyone notice a Mercedes at all today? Did they forget to set their alarm clocks this morning? To be fair to them, both cars were shunted out of the race by piss poor moves by other drivers; no pace themselves mind but hardly their fault that they went ho...

But surely that isn't a KERS system? if all it consists of is a battery that they charge in the pits to give them a boost off the line it surely goes against the idea of KERS. It doesn't use brake force to charge the battery so isn't recovering any kenetic energy at all I think they charge it like ...

Also, there is an interesting rumour now floating around about Red Bull's KERS system which might explain why Vettel didn't use his KERS, and why Webber was so reluctant to talk about it when asked why he didn't use it either. Asides from some very interesting pictures from Darren Heath of the Red ...

Political protests and civil unrest at a hated ruling party will mean the cancellation of the British GP. Alonso will cheat, or lie, or cry or something; anything to win. Rubens will have a great season but crash on lap 1 in Brazil. Jenson and Lewis will end the season absolutely hating each other! ...

I think AndreaModa is referring to things like football and cricket which are pre-dominantly shown on Sky , which you have to pay (I think) 30 pound a month to sign up to, or on ITV where you have simply appalling commentators and pundits. Sports coverage on the BBC is certainly not as good as it u...

Re: BBC considering not renewing F1 contract
I'll agree the Red Button service is a good one, but when you live in a rural area where signal is often poor, or you don't even have digital yet, then it might as well not exist. My point is this, sports that have always held higher regard within the upper echelons of British society have always b...

Re: BBC considering not renewing F1 contract
Exactly, and it's this same bullshit perception that continues to pervade the BBC in this modern age where stuff like Top Gear is actually postponed for live snooker coverage, and sports such as MotoGP are confined to the digital 'Red Button' service whilst golf gets wall-to-wall coverage. Golf has...

So we have one team called Renault that looks like a Lotus, but we will have to call it Renault; not to be confused with the other Lotus-Renault,.... and the World championship winning team that use Renault engines but are now called Infiniti engines.

This race does highlight something about Hamilton: hes a little too willing to go with what the team tells him to. We've seen it before, on track with China 2007 where Lewis should have overruled the pre determined strategy and pitted, off track with the "liegate" scandal where the team t...
