This is the most emotional race for me over the season.. I couldn't hold the tears of happiness for Felipe and Kamui. Happens rarely to me.

As they were saying on the commentary feed, there will be a lot of good will in the paddock for those two guys getting podium finishes this weekend, and rightly so. That podium should give Kamui's campaign this year a real shot in the arm, and hopefully boost his chances of staying on at Sauber next year (there have been a few rumours that Kobayashi's position is not entirely secure, but that should go some way towards answering his critics) - especially since he seemed to have the measure of Perez pretty much throughout the entire weekend, right at a time when everybody has been talking about Perez's move to McLaren.
As for Massa, that should boost his confidence enormously for the final few races - considering that his qualifying performance was relatively poor, to bounce back from that with a pretty comfortable podium is going to do him a lot of good. It might not be enough on its own to save his career at Ferrari, but on the back of his improved form in the latter half of this season it should improve his chances of a seat.

Forza Kobayashi!

It's been a good decision to stay in bed. Statistically, when I stay in bed for overseas races of F1 in early morning time zones, the driver I would cheer for do win whereas when I get up, it's vice versa. This proved to be correct today. Suzuka is a nice track but it's not worth risking a good result just by me getting up early (especially when I could use a good night's sleep, which I did).

Seconded. He has cost Lotus a 3rd place finish in the WCC. I'd like to see Hulkenberg or Kobayashi replace him at Lotus for next season. I honestly think even EB (Boullier) has had enough of Romain Crashjean. He is bloody dangerous out there as Mark Webber pointed out.
