Re: Champion Elimination Medals Championship

Post by James1978 »

I've just noticed something interesting - the only 3 drivers driving for the non-new-for-2010 teams who have yet to win a races yet to win a race here are the same three who have yet to unrejectify themselves in reality (Senna, Vergne, Ricciardo).

Odd really as with 9 drivers eliminated from this, one could score a "win" here with a 6th, 7th or 8th in reality and still be a reject. :)

I know, I just thought it interesting that everyone who has actually won a race in the current field has gone on to be unrejectified, and those who haven't won a race in this yet are still rejects.

Indeed in the 3 new teams, Pic is still a reject and hasn't won a race in this championship, 4 of the other 5 non-rejects (Kovalainen, Petrov, Glock, De La Rosa) have won races in this championship in previous years, the odd one out is Karthikeyan - shame he couldn't have beaten his teammate at Indianapolis 2005! :)

Still can't believe Perez isn't walking this to be honest (especially with Grosjean eliminated unlike the points elimination one).

Next year should be a foregone conclusion unless Ricciardo gets himself eliminated by winning this year. :)

I do hope the Hulk wins so this and the points elimination one get back to parity (i.e. the same drivers are eliminated). It would just mean Grosjean and Hulkenberg swap the years they win either title.

Next year will probably be boring for both championships with Ricciardo in a Red Bull still elgibile and no Vettel, Ferraris, Mercs, Button and one or possibly both Lotuses. Possibly the only competition will be Magnussen!

Oh so it's Checo's championship on 2nd places. Would have been good to see a Sauber driver winning - don't think the team have ever won either elimination shampionship (save Kubica but that was when they were with BMW).
