But we'll begin in the year 1996, and there won't be any IRL-CART split. The Indianapolis 500 is still part of the IndyCar World Series schedule, and other changes have reached IndyCar. The biggest one is CART allowing Menard to run their V6 engines at Indianapolis boost levels, thus enabling John Menard to enter his team and his engines for a full season campaign. The rules will be very relaxed. Just choose a team, a chassis, an engine and a tire manufacturer. That's it, no money, no problem.

So I hope you guys accept this series, and have fun

USAC decided to add a second race to its USAC Gold Crown, which won't count for the IndyCar standings (But the Indy 500 still does). This is a measure to give backmarkers and Indy one-offs a chance to test their equipment under racing conditions. But IndyCar regulars are of course also invited to compete at the Indy 200 at Walt Disney World. So you don't have to race at Walt Disney World. Just say if you want to race or not. I hope I explained that well enough
