I just had a fishcake & stuff whilst re reading the Divi articles. Love the comment about her not being told about English trains.

According to Wiki her last Olympic appearance was in 1992 at the age of 48! Beat that Schumi!

Well we're kind of talking about racing & that's the point I suppose. I do wonder if Jenoch ever despair of what we do to their project, or if they quite enjoy all the "scuttlebut"

Them fretting about it would rather go against the spirit of the thing. You know the podcasts? The"Big News in Formula One" item tells me all I need to know about the "corporate stance" in F1Rejects - don't bother too much with what everyone else is discussing and play on the sidelines. It's fun. Keep it neat and nice and have a laugh.

Incidentally, my brunch was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

At least I'm sure this photo is from 1973, the year in which he got his two victories.

I don't like how Ron Dennis's squad uses the "original orange" color on their test cars - they are not Bruce and Denny.
If Revson had survived, there is no doubt he would have won another Can-Am in 1974 - the Shadows were all conquering that year (although they had to practically ban Porsche to give anyone else on the grid a shot). I always felt sad that Revson could not achieve more in F1 - his 1971 Can Am year should have ranked him alongside the premier F1 drivers of his era (he beat Cevert in equal cars in Can-Am)

I have always rather liked Revson, of course because he was a somewhat unfulfilled promise, but also because his name sounds funny, and is rather apt for a racing driver. Also, I believe he's Jewish, which led to me developing a curiosity to know if there have been other Jewish drivers in Formula one. Also Muslim ones.

Actually, I think Cevert was part Jewish.
As for Revson's 1971 Can Am title, I might be over-hasty in claiming they had equal cars throughout the series. The McLaren M8F was quite an improvement over the McLaren M8D's that the competition was fielding. However, the M8F 's were ghastly until the cooling issues were addressed, which did not occur until mid season.

I got to drive 2 laps in a rebuilt / refitted McLaren M8D, but never anything more "recent". Has anyone here had any experiences with any sort of Can -Am / Group 6/ 5/ C or FIA GT car? (Especially any sort of monster by Porsche , would love to hear stories...)
