The 'consistency' alternate championship system

EDIT: To make things easier for me, I will redo the criteria for the events. PLEASE READ.
So, in this alternate championship, if you happen to DNF in any of the races, you can't score anymore points. As I stated in the title, consistency is the way to win a world championship here. DNS, DNQ, DNPQ and NC does not mean you are unable to score points anymore, but 1 single DNF means you can't get anymore points. So here goes nothing!

Spare Points?

Is this not rather similar to my championship

It is, the difference being that you're safe as long as your car doesn't go out during the race as opposed to not starting the race at all, which leads me to some questions: What happens in situations where drivers retire but completed a sufficient number of laps to be classified? Also, using Kobayashi's woes in Singapore as a recent example, isn't a DNS pretty much the same as a retirement in regards to consistency if the driver intended to race but was let down by the car's reliabilty?

I added spare points because at some races there would be points left over (like Monaco 1950, where 7 drivers had finished the race, but 3 of them DNFed at Silverstone, so only 4 drivers scored points).

What happens in situations where drivers retire but completed a sufficient number of laps to be classified? There was a driver who did a one-off Indy 500 in my car numbers alternative championship, he finished second and won the championship! It was a cool thing to happen in my opinion...
