A bit late on this thread - but if you have the opportunity you must go to Le Mans. It won't break the bank either, for a general admission ticket which I think is less than 50 Euros you get access to loads of the track, a free bus service which takes you to different parts, and all the stalls behind the main straight. I've been twice ('04 and '07) - it's fabulous.
If you can stretch to the full camping experience it would be even better!
I've also been to Spa (a while ago in '92 and '96) which was also great.
Chnage of circumstances means I can't see myself doing either again for a long time...

The prices are indeed very tempting, and you get more than your money's worth compared to a F1 race. I plan to make something of a road trip out of it, having recently passed my test. The final step is convincing my friends that they want to see 24 hours of motorsport in possibly damp and muddy weather... but that's where the beer comes in
Hopefully those of us lucky enough to be out and about this year can share photos here for the rest, I love seeing trackside shots and more !

And taking into consideration that the two closest races are Valencia and Barcelona, it really is a no brainer (if Portimao replaces Bahrain, then I am the first to buy the ticket). Not even TV, since the races are broadcasted in a paying sports channel that is as expensive as the other hundred channels together that also come with the provider (even so, as I don't live alone the others would have to agree, which is a bit unlikely). For me the only option then is Internet streaming. All hail Internet!

Superb! Incredible place! You have to go to the old banking and to the tether car track. I'm definitely going to Monza to spectate and whatever other races I make it to working in GP3.

I know about the old banking and hope to fit it in, but what's the tether car track?

Tether cars:

There's a tether car track along from the paddock towards the first corner, if I remember correctly. I found it by accident in 2004.

Sunday. Will be in South-East Italy until the Saturday morning, then driving to Monza region during Saturday, doing the GP Sunday then onto France Monday. Will be doing Col de Turini and Monaco on drive down to Italy a week before.
