Car Livery Templates

Post by Row Man Gross-Gene »

Just for the heck of it I did a couple of liver templates that you guys can use based on the williams cars of 2002 and 2011. You can go to this link to get a high-resolution version of the file: http://cid-f73fd6728c175582.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Formula%20One%20stuff/Templates.png

Let me know what you think, I'd be happy to make some changes if there are any requests.

Absolutely brilliant, is there any way you do some 1991, 1990, 1992 cars for me as then can upload some for my alternate championship.

I'll see what I can do. I'll probably make something that is somewhat generic and then see what kind of liveries can be done.

Can they then be filled in paint, or do they require a different program to colour them in as not really that skilled with IT. However I want to attempt it as got some ideas.

A better program than Microsoft Paint is Paint.NET which you can obtain, completely legally, for free from their own website here: http://www.paint.net/

It's what I've used when I've done anything like this and is many times better and gives you a lot more options, plus it's nothing like as complicated as Illustrator or Photoshop. Just save the blank templates and open them within Paint.NET and get scribbling! :)

Yes, Paint.net is a nice free program as is the GiMP. Nothing beats working with Illustrator though:

Oh I quite agree, I have both but I just can't be asked with the hassle of Illustrator most of the time!

Just a bump, I've added the 1991 and 2006 cars in the first post.

Nice one. However, I doubt I can do anything with these subtly shaded versions for what I've got in mind, so I'm going to take a look at the GP2 car template that was used in the Formula Nations thread - even though the sidepods have a huge stripe right the way through them... I will attempt to edit it accordingly.

Fictional F1 team. Think along the lines of if they had actually bought Footwork and turned it into a works Mugen-Honda F1 team. Moreno as Honda works driver Suzuki's team-mate for extra (honourary) Reject value :D
