Yeah, I should have said 'Silverstone'. :)

It's great! Obviously it's gonna take some time to get up to speed, the Indy Lights cars feel very different, but I'm confident that after a few tests I can be up there with Padraig. I really look forward to partnering him! I've gotta thank Jean Todt who gave me this break, and to all my fans back in the States, I'm gonna do my best for ye all!

No coffee tends to do that to people. Infact, when we get sheets of work to do at school me and a few friends try to find the exact point the teacher ran out of coffee during making it.

I'm still struggling with the transition from Indy, but I think in a race or two, I'll be racing alongside Padraig, and hopefully, I'll be ahead! For the race, I think points is a bit of an outside chance, but with a bit of attrition, that could change.

Jeroen Krautmeir is awake and speaking to doctors, the French facility in which he is being treated in announced yesterday. "Driver Jeroen Krautmeir is conscious and is speaking," an official said. "He has multiple fractures in both legs, and after having a discussion with him, the surgeons have decided to begin another operation tomorrow [today] to stabilize the bones."

It's just ridiculous, a joke, and absolute joke that the stewards let this guy get away just like that. Congratulations to Damon for his 3rd place on the grid, and I'm very happy Jeroen has regained consciousness. It was an awful crash, he was very lucky to be alive and it was a lucky escape for the stewards too. Ron Mignolet seems like a credible replacement, even if he's a bit of a clown with his lame puns, though the paddock really needs that kind of freshness. Looking forward for the race tomorrow and for Roda to break up before the start so we don't have to deal with his shenanigans yet again.

Scott Menard wrote:Erm, I was getting lapped by Melrose and, Damon Cannon I think, and I pulled off the racing line. The next thing I knew, my left had been speared by Daniel, and the Arrows was flying up.

Louise Goodman wrote:You do know that the controversial Giovanni Roda was behind this mess?

Scott Menard wrote:Oh, definitely. I mean, I don't understand how the bloody idiot has a drive with a legend like Jackie Stewart, let alone a super licence. It's a bloody farce on the sport, I mean, Formula 1 is supposed to be the highest echelon of racing, and we have this fellow who drives as though he has the whole damn country to drive on. I'm just disappointed that the FIA have not banned him, it's just ridiculous.

Louise Goodman wrote:How about the rest of your day? How was the car?

Scott Menard wrote:Oh man, the car was just bu***hit. It can't be just me, cuz' Pat was struggling a whole lot as well. I mean, as a rookie who's used to turbos and ground effect and slicks, driving something completely different is already a massive s***storm. Um, it was just all over the place, totally out of balance. At the beginning it was just so bloody loose, and when the team adjusted the wing during my pitstop, the polar opposite just occurred. It was like trying to tame a starving T-Rex Louise.

Qualify was pretty good, although I messed up the Remus hairpin pretty much.

Scott Menard wrote:Boy, Pat just makes it look so easy. Um, I think I've only got myself to blame really. I copied Pat's setup at first, and struggled an awful lot with it, so I started from scratch, and that only made the car handle worse. In the end I just tried to strike a balance between the two, and it felt better, but not a whole lot better. It's definitely me, I mean, I still haven't got to grips with how the grooves work, and how twitchy these F1 cars are. Hopefully with a bit more testing at Fiorano and Mugello, I'll be somewhere up there! 10th isn't bad I guess, but Pat showed that there was much more in the car, and I messed things up. I just want a solid race tomorrow, with no entanglements.

Damon Cannon wrote:Looks like it's going to be a four-way fight between Arrows and Williams tomorrow. I wonder what's gone wrong at Jordan though? A few races ago they and Prost were miles ahead of the rest of the field, and now they've fallen back into the upper midfield somewhat. They cannot have been held up by Roda this time, as his engine expired after his first lap, to a deafening roar from both the crowd and the pitwall!
